Heonjae asks Jingi to move to another room with Myeong-il but Jingi doesn't want to, plus Myeong-il doesn't want to give up the perks Jingi gives him. Hyeonjae ends up getting moved to the room where Myeong-il originally was when he first arrived. Hyeonjae begins to assault the other prisoners the way Jingi does. Myeong-il ends up moving to Hyeonjae's room after Jingi keeps harassing him (hyeonjae requested him to do so).

Don't believe everything Hollywood shows you. The anatomy of the human head is a complex thing that can miraculous survive stuff if you're lucky enough. Many people who shot themselves in the head have gone on and survived with some form of disability afterwards.
