Im at 129 and this story’s got me hooked but im feeling a bit disappointed w how eckles is being treated. He’s just a baby and he was supposed to have had a better outcome if not for penelope’s intervention but he’s nothing more than an afterthought to her rn just blatantly using him for her survival wc is kinda cruel (but also understandable), there’s no real connection unlike the other mls

Yep i kept reading and i still stand by what i said he shouldve been treated better. Penelope is a good mc but she was selfish and manipulative when it came to him (I’d probably do the same in her position but that doesnt make it any less wrong) what happened was partly a result of her actions

I do agree with manipulation one. She did manipulate him and because of that he became obsessive ngl when i was reading that i did thought it was morally grey of her but still that doesn't mean he's pure innocent and i like him but i get where you're coming from..
Well based on the “normal” storyline he was the most forgiving out of all mls, he was the only one who chose to spare the villainess so that means something to me. I think his biggest flaw was being so easily manipulated but we also shouldnt forget he is still a minor and in a vulnerable position in society as a slave.
