Am I the only one that didn’t really like the main couple??? There was no chemistry or emotional development at all at first there was just a bunch of rape and abuse, then Luacon loved him??? Fuck that. While I did really love their relationship towards the ending, it really just didn’t make sense. BUT the other couples were very nicely written. Karis+Sihan were such a nice vanilla couple, but definitely not perfect and continued to struggle a lil which I liked. Christop and Ryan. UGHHH so sad, but almost perfectly bittersweet.
When I was reading it, I kinda thought that you could see how Lucaon was falling in love with Kyon. He was really harsh, he makes up for it in the end, but towards the end of the first half of chapters you can see how he’d realize he’s starting to like Kyon and then, as if he didn’t want to accept it, he’d through a fit and hurt Kyon almost as if to prove he had no feelings towards him. Like in that scene where he got injured and came back to the mansion, he thought “Kyon’s warm” after gently touching his face and then quickly pulled back. Also the way he doesn’t want anyone near Kyon, how he beings Kyon with him everywhere until something dangerous happens around Kyon, how he was worried about where Kyon was when he left to Sihan’s mansion with Ryan. There’s a lot of small things and you can really see how Lucaon’s personality and feelings develop throughout the story.

Yeah, I definitely how a lot of small actions and changes showed Lucaon emotionally developing and sorting out his own feelings, BUT it just didn’t hit for me I seemed like so many of Luacon’s abuse was almost ignored in a sense. Kyon’s unwavering devotion to this man was understandable since Lucaon saved him when he was younger, but I honestly felt like they didn’t really “know” each other as individuals… but hey, you do become attached to people simply cuz they’re around you.
One last thing/// it’s not like I just wanted some vanilla shit (I liked Killing Stalking lol), the relationship just lacked some depth is all
