A lot of things bothered me from chapters 1-65. Like from the early chapters is like all everyone but Lydia knew that Ash loved her "romantically" and that didn't sit well with me because they're family. Imo I don't think only blood determines family. If from a young age you're raised as family that line shouldn't be crossed even if you find out your not blood-related.
Now after jumping from chapter 65 to 100, I saw that Lydia and Ash got together, I'm so glad skipped to the end because, NO. Someone in the comments said this was fauxest (faux-incest) and that explains it but personally I still didn't like it.
Someone in the comments even mentioned that it was revealed that Davery was inlove with Lydia and I was baffled because like another person said, it should have been a more "found family" situation because his antics with Lydia was more sibling coded than love interest.
Don't even get me started on the whole thing with the crown prince, like ugh I'm not even gonna get into that, nope.
The more I think about it the plot of this series was whack and I'm glad I didn't stick around too long before realizing. Again this is just how I viewed the series and it may be totally fine for others who enjoys the (faux-incest) plot.
They were day ones! Like nahhh. This wasn’t played right. She was there for his birth and shit. Like there are actually some stories that this kind of work with and this was not it.

Thankfully I had forgotten everything until I reread my comment. I am sometimes the type of person to stick it out and I was like skimming or skipping some of the chapter between 1-65 but I had just had enough. I'm so glad I dropped it back then. I wish and hope others see my and others comment to avoid that dumpster fire of a plot.
...but I might just drop this story. The story could do well without Elon and Mark, you're telling me the author couldn't just make up two characters to replace them? Mind you I'm neutral towards them but that doesn't mean I wanna see real people in what I thought was a business/family oriented story. I came here for fluff. But yeah might drop this, it's getting cringe.
As a novel reader, i support your decision. I was so young back then and was too dumb to realised that those two will forever stick to mc until the end of the story...

My reasons tell me not to read that again, but my self harm mentality keep pushing me until the end of the story... one thing i like is the fact that even though mc dated some eherm popular actress, he ended up with an "ordinary" person and settle down with decent wife and son... (coping so hard)
