Hey new readers...this is just my personal opinion so please don't make this comment stop you from reading this manhwa, because honestly it isn't bad at all. However, I felt conflicted on a couple parts of this story.
from this point on, there will be a couple spoilers so beware:
Okay so i really loved the beginning and booked it right away because i thought it was interesting, but near the middle, it kinda went downhill? like since chap. 80 or something.
The mc is pretty badass, being the heir and all, but she's kind of cowardly? Like she's strong but she doesn't bother using her past memories to change her future.
Like there were only a couple scenes where she used her past knowledge to change the future, and they weren't any major things.
Also, I'm super fvcking pissed off that she's going back to the og ml. I read the novel, and it said that Ruve (ml) hated Tia (fl) and killed her in the og timeline because he was jealous that she took all her mom's love?? like wtf bro. I really Carsien or Allendis was the main male lead because they're a better match for Tia than Ruve. (even tho Allendis is kind of a yandere)
But as I was saying earlier- she never really used her past memories. In other reincarnation manhwas I read, like 'Villainess Reverses the Hourglass,' or 'Priscilla's Marriage Request,' or 'Beware of the Brothers,' the main character used their past memories to completely TRANSFORM their future. But the only thing that changed for Tia in all honestly is her submission to God, more love from her father, neglecting Ruve, etc. a lot of unimportant stuff. i don't know, it just didn't speak OUT to me, you know?
i'm still reading this manhwa, but it doesn't excite me as much anymore, if you know what I mean. it's as if it lost its hype.
I read the novel a couple months back, and i'm not going to spoil too much, but the ending was unsatisfying for me. She starts off hating and wanting revenge on Ruve, but then she falls in love with him again?
I liked some stories where the reincarnated mc falls in love with the og ml, but only bc the mc actually did a lot of stuff to change the future. For example: Shadow Queen. The main mc goes back to her og lover after changing her future a HELLA lot. She gains power behind her family's back, uses her past knowledge to earn money, uses her old memories to get people on her side, change the ml's way of thinking, becoming an investor, changing her bodyguard, etc. All Tia did was save drought (which was short-lived popularity) and made some new friends (who DEF should've been the ML's). And the only reason why Ruve became interested in her was because she was afraid of him. :/
This might just sound like stupid ranting but I just wanted to get this off my chest bc Tia was HIGH KEY PISSIN ME OFF! but anyways ya thanks for listening to my ted talk-
lmk if this helps lmfaoaoaoao
^ Tia also took Alledis’ idea of a luxury tax, which is the main cause of them meeting each other, but yeah.
Shadow Queen did a WAY better execution of the “misunderstood ML” because of one key reason: the king was never present in the MC’s murder and tried to protect their son once he found out his wife was killed. The king and MC’s relationship in Shadow Queen used to be built on lies because MC was disguised as someone else, and the king had no choice but to go with it because the duke’s family was too powerful. Heck, the king LOVED the MC in the past. There weren’t no magic, poison, alternative timelines, or victim blaming to excuse the king’s behavior, and that’s a good thing.
The Abandoned Empress had such a strong start, but for some reason Jeon Yuna (the author) made the plot worse around the middle... I’m glad the author and artist are two different people, because Ina’s artwork nearly saved the manhwa for me.
Girl, what are you talking about? Both Shadow Queen and Abandoned Empress feature covers that only have the female leads in them. Unless you’re talking about the changing covers that go from Allendis, Carsein, and then Ruve, which requires someone to read 50+ chapters to notice and not the front cover ಠ_ಠ
OMFG!!! You explained as exactly how I feel about her!!! Especially the part about her being "strong" but she really isn't, that Ruve just feel in love or whatever with her just because Tia was scared of him, and also, they only had very little interaction!! Like wtf man. And how she never really changed anything. Like yeah, I see that you aren't obsessed with him, but that's it?!?! I know that somethings are difficult to overcome, but really? And so many readers spare Ruve just because he was drugged or something, but, imagine if someone rapped you and caused you psychological damage and they were drunk, and you just forgive them because they were unconscious. That doesn't make any sense to me, especially since I get like second hand emotions from every story that I read.
And also, why give so much room of character development with Carsein and Allendis if they are just going to disappear and give so little character time/development to the real ml? Like, I literally thought that Carsein was going to be the ml since he was always with her and have so many moments together, and also I thought that because of that they will build and strong, stable, caring and healthy relationship.
And lastly, why give so much hype about her being the head of her house if she was going to give up? I was so excited of her to achieve new goals as she grew, but then she became so plain, so dull. And that's why I dropped it. She was getting boring. Her decisions were boring and overall she just stopped with the mindset that she had in the firsts chapters, which was kind of disappointing.
But also, if someone else is reading this comment and if you like this kind of mc, that's completely understandable since everyone has different tastes when it comes to people. But this is a no for me.
It was near the beginning. Coercion is still considered rape since she was clearly uncomfortable with the fact he insulted her while asking for sex. He deadass, and I paraphrase, “House Monique is already thriving, yet you want an heir?” There’s nothing beautiful, forgiving, or passionate about that scene. It was just tragic, because Tia was raised to be Ruve’s wife and wasn’t taught to be anything independent from him.
Exactly!! Like, what is the point of taking almost two seasons with the secondary characters if they are going to be thrown off? Why don't give that time to the mc? This author completely confused me, others wouldn't do this and I appreciate that so much, like empress of another world. There were secondary characters, but those made the story so thrilling without you feeling that they can be more than secondary characters. I only gave this example since is the only story that is completed and I read until the very end.
Honestly I was very angry reading the first chapters I ain't gonna lie here and say I love the fools behavior in the beginning I hated both him and the dumb school girl who appeared out of nowhere advantageing the FL I couldn't feel more sick of the fact that he was still the ml but I'm probably reading to much story lines like this that I just swallowed it.

YES IT UPDATED! OMG!
