That's what I think, too. And it makes me so mfing angry because all the grown-up knights we've seen so far are not well-behaved either. What's the point of making Theo so formal with his best friend, when the "proper" knight with silver hair is out here saying whatever comes to his little brain

Exactly !!! It's not like the knights are behaving that well around the royalty, so why make a child act like that? He's literally a child, let him act like one.
But then again this is only the start of the story so... maybe they'll reveal why in the future?
