WARNING: this big phat piece of text is really not that serious and at the end of the day its a fictional
webtoon. I'm not upset, I just wanted to voice my thoughts and it turned into a little bit of a ramble lol. This came out when I was younger and I just reread it after seeing the specials are being released. My rambling is really just a nitpick if anything, and not even specific to this webtoon. Despite this not being a perfect webtoon for other reasons as well, honestly I'm just happy this is getting updates at all and that the author is in good health.
Idk I personally dont like when characters are rude to their partners family (unless the family sucks ofc).
Ik Woojin was only friends w the little brother to get close to the MC (which low-key the backstory abt those 3 got changed mid story so maybe Woojins and the little brothers dynamic had to be a sacrifice) but that doesn't mean Woojin has to be a piece of shit towards the little brother .
When the little brother got introduced I was kinda excited to see him and Woojin reunite and see how their relationship would be. I was hoping that, even though Woojin started being friends w little bro for ulterior motives, he would have garnered actual platonic feelings toward little bro, given that they literally spent YEARS being friends. I think it would've fleshed out Woojins character a lot more. (I think a part of it is that I like MCs brothers design too, hehe)
And the little brother saying that he still thinks of Woojin as his friend despite it never being reciprocated and Woojin just standing there menacingly, jaw clenched with a black background was soooo disappointing imo. Yeah, I get it Woojin doesn't like anyone but the mc, and I actually dont mind that troupe in my webtoons; but usually the ML will show respect and kindness to the MCs family (albeit they're good to mc).
It just bothers me bc being kind to your partners loved ones, even if they're not the type of ppl you would normally surround yourself with, is a very clear way to show how much you love someone. To me, when a character is disrespectful towards their lovers family it makes me icked out, like it ruins the romantic fantasy that romance webtoons try to portray. If one of my partners was mean/weird to my siblings behind my back I'd be really upset.
But, at least it seems like Woojin is respectful towards MCs mom and dad (idk if him getting upset in the side chapters (at the dinner table) was towards MCs parents or his mom, so I'm just going to assume he's upset that HIS mom never told him where MC was when she was getting updates). At the end of the day, not really a big deal.

Okay so I just read the entire novel and the side stories (idk if i read them all so if anyone knows where to read all of them lmk pls) and something bothered me the entire time.
(This is gonna be long asf. I didn't realize I had that much to say until I started typing)
The author seems to not know what they want in terms of the MC
Okay so first, MC and hyun woo (the omega he switched bodies with, might not be the right name ) are described to be super different. HW is this extremely gorgeous but frail omega and MC is this scary looking thug. The ML said that hyun woo was a beautiful flower but basically had no personality/he was sad and feeble af, so he didn't want to be with someone so lifeless essentially.
Okay so, MC and hyun woo are entirely different. But then its revealed that MC and HW are actually brothers!!! And ACTUALLY they have extremely similar facial features. MC notices it I'm pretty sure the ML noticed it, the 2nd ML noticed, etc. They didnt all notice all at once, it was spread out throughout the entire story. The author made sure to bring their similarities up over and over again. So okay ig, switching it up. In the novel they didn't really go super in detail about their appearances except for hyun woo being brethtakingly gorgeous over and over so MAYBE ig it makes sense, no big deal.
But idk what's gonna change or not change in the webtoon, but if i recall correctly im pretty sure in the webtoon they do not look alike whatsoever , so how is that gonna work? I haven't read the first chapter in a long time tho so I'll go back and check after this.
Anyways, I'm pretty sure the author made it so the MC and HW look extremely alike in the face bc she didn't want the ml to technically be in love with someone who looks nothing like the mcs og face. The author deliberately didn't ever mention the MCs face or the ML being attracted to him physically.
What i dont get, and this is what bothered me more than the inconsistencies in the writing, if MC and HW look so similar why not let the ml show any sign of physical attraction ? You've driven the point that they have the same facial features home so what's up w that? Ik its supposed to be romantic that he loves MC for his personality but if you've made it a point to retract your earlier description of them looking entirely different over and over do something with that!! Otherwise what was the point!! Oh, hes in love with you only for your personality but you also look exactly alike in the face with the person you switched bodies with so does it even matter? The point is gone!
Their bodies are extremely different but I'd argue that the face is entirely more important than the body in terms of attraction. The author can't even write that ML has beautiful eyes or write the ML seeing the MC from afar and thinking his partner is attractive bc the author doesn't want the ml to love anything about the MC bc its not his actual body. Then you should've just made them switch back!!
What is the point of writing a romance story thats half sex scenes and we cant even get a fucking compliment as simple as "you look good" from the ML like omg it was irritating me so bad. The author would switch povs to the ML and nothing romantic ever came out of his mouth bc you cannot write a romance without sprinkling in words of affection like what can the ML say during romantic scenes or sex? Balls deep and the ML can only say, "mmmugh you have such a good personality "
Idc what anyone says. Physical attraction IS important in relationships; and showing that you're attracted to your partner is also important in a relationship. How would you feel if your partner never complimented you? Probably not good. Even friends and family complement each other without being romantic .
The only time physical attraction is mentioned is for the MCs body, which is HWs. The author writes about ML loving his nipples, his butt, his dick, getting aroused when MC wears sexy underwear, LOVES to see MCs crying face, etc. And ML constantly leaves hickeys on MC. Would you leave hickeys on a body you're not attracted to?
And yeah, obviously if youre writing a sex scene there needs to be physical attraction, so why would the author only write about MCs body when its not his? Like his body is the one physical thing that is entirely different from his og self, so if ur gonna write that in why not his face? The one you said has the same features as his og body? Makes no sense.
They've had emotionless sex like twice which can only be explained as physical attraction. ML didn't start liking MC until later so ??? I really just dont get it . Bro almost drowned him on purpose while having sex, thats not affection because the ML only loves the MC for his personality, thats physical attraction taking control and making the ML unable to resist MC rubbing on him and seducing him.
And what makes even less sense is the relationship the MC has with his new body. At first he didn't like being so weak but he did like how pretty he was and how he could use that to his advantage. Apparently gorgeous beyond belief and looks exactly like MC in da face but no one could tell until later? Mmokay, sure.
( + He has no problem suddenly switching traits bc MC loves being an omega and he loves to get railed and get wet bc of hormones.)
MC gets asked if he would want to switch back to his old body if given the chance and he can't decide. He really enjoys his new life and living as the og owner of the body hes in, but he still cant decide bc yk, his og body.
MC then gets into a coma of some sorts and has a dream about him being in his og body, he starts freaking out immediately thinking that he didn't want this to happen. He goes out of his room and sees 2ndML and his mother in law, none of them recognize him and he starts freaking out even more, as he walks down the hallway he sees MC with his secretary and starts screaming at him with tears running down his face crying that he didn't want this and how could MC forget him.
Then he wakes up and is so relieved he's in the right body. The ML assures Mc that he loves him no matter what and would find him if he switched bodies. Cute, like fr that was sweet. But that just proves my points earlier abt the author not wanting to write the ML finding MC physically attractive EVEN THO THEY HAVE THE SAME FEATURES. Which again, is extremely restricting when you're writing a romance story with sex .
MC meets his brother who is in MCs og body and they both agree not to switch bc they are happier the way they are now.
ML starts calling MC by his real name instead of Hyun woo and MC tells him to stop bc he actually hates his name and always wanted to change it. He said that his brother is now living as him in MCs og body and so MC is now hyun woo and hes gonna live in this body as HW instead instead. Meaning that he's fully accepted and wants to be hyun woo.
Okay we got that out of the way. So MC asks to be called HW bc he hates his name. Literally like in the next chapter or something the ML keeps calling him by his old name bro is dead naming him. I understand for the readers perspective not changing the his name but the dialog couldve been changed. Bro has been getting called HW in the dialog and his brother who he switched with goes by a completly different name (not MCs old name), so its not even confusing for the reader. And why even write that if you're not gonna do it ?
So MC loves his life, loves his body, looks exactly like his old self in the face. There was an ominus shamen reading that said the grim reaper would come back to get him and fix their mistake but that never happened either, maybe their souls were meant to be in their new bodies. That's wonderful! But the author still won't let the ML call MC beautiful.
MC literally had twins, you'd THINK the author is doing the classic one kid looks like one parent and the other looks like the other parent. NO! Even though MC has the same face and is literally THE SAME BLOOD as the body hes in now, both of their children look NOTHING like MC . Which is also confusing bc the author changed their mind like 3 times
When the twins were first born they both looked exactly like the ML which was great bc they didn't need to do a paternity test. THAT'S how much they looked like him. And u cant forget how MC was worried one twin was gonna be MLs and the other was gonna be 2ndMLs, so both of the kids HAD to look like ML.
But then like 3/5 chapters later its revealed that now only ONE twin looks like ML and the other looks nothing like him. They said that the baby could look like the MC but no one has baby pictures of MCs new body so they couldnt tell. Honestly, i was super happy with that bc I thought that meant the other twin looked like MC.
BUT NO. A few chapters after that they did a paternity test, THATS how unsure they were. Even though a few chapters ago they said like 3/4 times that both of the twins looked exactly the ML, not the MC at all, so there was no need for a paternity test. It comes back, ML is the father of both. Woo!
Okay so great! One twin probably looks like MC and one looks like ML. Whole house happy. NO.
Instead, a few chapters later, the kids are back to looking nothing like the MC and looking EXACTLY like the ML.....? Wait wha...? But u said...? Like bro make up your mind . And they KEEP mentioning it. The babies look exactly like the ML, not like the MC. OKAYYYUH WE GET IT, GIVE IT A REST!!
That was the conclusion, that the kids only look like the ML. Useless back and forth for what , make up ur damn mind.
And to further my point that MC is now super happy with his body and face, he mentions how he wishes one of them looked more like him. He wants a kid with lighter hair like him and who's an omega like him!!! I'm pretty sure his og body had dark hair and I know he was not an omega or had an omegas body. The body he's in rn is HIS body now. His brother thats in his og body feels the same exact way.
Honestly, I think the author kept going back and forth bc they didnt want the kids to look like MCs new body. And when they mentioned they werent sure who the other twin resembles I honestly thought the author was gonna make the baby look like MCs og body. Idk if that's the case but if it was that would make zero sense and ig the author knew that (obviously thats just my speculation!!)
But even if the kids did look like MCs og body it would make sense in the fact that the author MADE it so MC looks like his brother who he switched with . So again, what was the point?? You could've used that as your excuse so???
So yeah, I'm just confused abt the MCs relationship with his new body. It's shown and stated many times that he loves everything abt himself and his new body/life. He looks in the mirror in his new body and refers to it as his own with no sense of strangeness, in fact he felt more strange when he had that coma dream and saw himself in his og body, bro hated that shit immediately . If he was back to his og body bro would be a beta, and I dont think he would like that either .
He does bring up his old dick sometimes as a joke but I don't even think he talks abt it in the later chapters. So like?? Why can't we get any physical descriptors of MCs body? What that face look like? MC has the same face as the body hes in so what's it look like? That's what I'm confused about.
Obviously we know bc of the webtoon but ugh. Maybe it wouldn't bother me so much if even a sliver of what MC does was reciprocated, but the MC is CONSTANTLY talking abt how the ML is his type and how handsome he his, how his facial features look, and how his body looks. MC is constantly cuddling up to ML and describing how he loves the way his body feels when they're cuddling and his pheromones. ML can't say any of that. Ever. Physical attraction to his body is only written when they're having sex bc u NEED to write those things, especially in the absence of ANYTHING else. And with the absence of MCs genetics in his OWN children who he almost DIED giving birth to, it just irritated me.
ML gives MC a smile every once and a while and they fuck (while obviously being physically attracted to one another) while the MC goes on and on abt how hot ML is. It would've been even hotter if the ML reciprocated
