Why is this too much different from the novel? I swear, this scene from the novel is way more good and wholesome.
It goes like this. When Kaelus declared that he will not support the idea of Diana getting kicked out from her position, Hestia didn't try to committ the S word right at that very evening. I believe it was a day after, when there was a cabinet meeting (Idk what term they use in the manwha) It was the day when Kaelus declared that he still wanted Diana to have the position as the crown princess. And that very day also, Countess Erinnes visited Hestia in their home and talked about Diana. Apparently in the novel, Hestia didn't know that Kael will tell the nobles his decision on that day.
The meeting lasted late in the evening, and Hestia was left in their house succumbed to her dark thoughts that no matter what she will do, the novel will still circulate around Diana because she is the female lead. And that all her efforts are left in vain because, again Diana is the female lead is she is just an extra in the novel. Then Hestia sat at the edge of the railing in her balcony, facing the gate and having this thoughts, she also thought that if she jump off from where she sat, maybe she'll return back to korea and leave that world, while having this thoughts she didn't notice Kael's carriage is already inside the gate.
And when Kael saw Hestia's lost expression and depressed face, he immediately went to Hestia's room and hug her from behind and pulled her away from the railing. They slumped down the floor and Kael didn't say anything and just hugged Hestia from behind and he was silently crying. And then Hestia woke up from her deep thoughts and assured Kael that she won't do it again, but then Kael was traumatized and wouldn't leave Hestia alone. He stayed in Hestia's room for a week, and he keeps staring at Hestia. He wouldn't even meet Helion (Helios' name when he's undercover or something) when he visited because he doesn't want to leave Hestia's side.
Yeah..and they didn't get to show how deeply disassociated is hestia in that moment. Bc she can't stop thinking this is a novel.. she just has to let go and realized it is her life now

Very true! I was kind of confused why it lacked the intensity of tension and emotions during this chapter and just remembered that it should be a different day as per the one that you have mentioned! I really liked the emotions from Hestia's dialouge as well as Kael POV.
I didn't read the novel but this would have made more sense/impact than what was in the Manhwa. It's good to know what was changed.

Well, the manhwa is REALLY long so they probably couldn’t just put the plot without changing. And they had to change the characters a bit cause character development in the manhwa take time but the drama is only 12 eps so.. But yeah it must be a little bit disappointing for the manhwa readers:
They could have done it better in my opinion what they did in the 1st episode took the charm the story had from the very beginning not only that but they put things in the drama that never even happened in the manhwa. Sorry for ranting I am a little disappointing cause I was expecting something more out of it. (￣∇￣")
