I don't know if he had no choice. The main thing that has changed in this life was that the FL gained power. But the father in law is still a bastard and seems to still hate his daughter. So we need to see what the father in law does. Because right now the ML is ignoring the father in laws command to not love his daughter. They are out in public and people now have a good impression of the FL and ML together, so the father in law must have heard of it. As of yet the father in law has done shit.
