I'm a consistent defender of the art, but c'mon! The Contrabass scene that I imagined in the novel was actually more majestic than that. Taekjoo with only the blanket covering his whole body dragging on the floor as he walk and saw Zhenya being illuminated by the large window of the mansion looking lonely but ethereal while playing the Contrabass. And him running away from Zhenya in that hunting scene? Girl, my adrenaline was ON! But I just can't feel it right now with the art. I truly waited for the whole Ajinoki island arc

Kwon Taek Joo raised himself up and listened. This is clearly a stringed instrument, but it does not appear to be a violin or cello. Is it a viola?

Kwon Taek Joo got out of bed as if he was being pulled by something. It was dark. He pulled the blanket to cover his naked body and did not turn on the light but just moved his steps

The show is continuing upstairs. Kwon Taek Joo swept his hand on the wall and then walked up the dark stairs, the melody becoming more vivid with each step he passed.

The footsteps that seemed to be walking in a dream finally stopped. His vision widened in an instant. The moonlight through the large window shines onto the sound of the contrabass. The vibrations echoing from the huge body of the instrument touched his heart.

The long white fingers played on the strings and the signature platinum blonde hair shone brighter than ever, but the expression of the person who was breaking the low chords suddenly looked extremely lonely. Kwon Taek Joo was so enchanted and immersed in the illusion created by the light that he forgot who was performing it.

He leaned his heavy head against the wall and sat down. Kwon Taek Joo wasn't too familiar with music, but he knew people rarely played contrabass solos. It is a musical instrument that is often optimized in ensembles to create harmony rather than performed alone. The stubbornness and slow melody emanating from that giant body looked so strong and masculine, except for a feeling of deep sadness creeping in somewhere.

Kwon Taek Joo closed his eyes, immersing himself in emotions. A monster without emotions knows how to make such beautiful sounds?The melody is neither harsh nor intense, making the atmosphere ambiguous. Not long after, the loose bangs fell down to cover Kwon Taek Joo's eyes. Zhenya returns to perform with the contrabass.

A low, gentle melody echoed in the space.

How is he white? No! He's still the same color but with proper shading. Don't y'all know color theory. Y'all talk as if you're bringing food to the artist's table, when in reality, we are all illegal readers here.

I swear at this point some of y'all are just riding with the hate. He's not even the worst, and clearly, JJK and KD made an AGREEMENT to be f*ck buddies. They agreed for KD to help JJK with his jinx, and in return, JJK will help him financially for his grandma. It's a toxic story, that's for sure. It's also very cliché, but the characters are redeemable. Jaekyung's past (sob story) is part of the reason of his attitude, it's decided even before the story started, and it's called a defense mechanism under projection. He grew up in a violent environment that is why he is projecting it to others (but it stil doesn't excuse some of his actions). Why I don't understand is why some are even hating on baby jjk? Saying he should've been beaten more as a kid. Why not look at those attitude as well?

Bruh, the next succeeding chapters are way worse! Well, tbh, I kinda understand their dynamics tho. Their troupe is literally ENEMIES to lovers, and right now, they are trying to kill each other, so, I get the rough treatment with each other because their relationship literally means nothing yet. They're just enemies at this point.

I'll even clench it tight so you can't pull!
