At first she was atleast standing on what she's saying. But after asta came she's just doing things around for asta.
Uh… we fundamentally understand the story differently. Her first main goal was to survive by living a quiet life. Then it evolved into wanting to build her own little kingdom. Everything Asta does in the original story, she could do herself (and better than Asta might I add), yet she’s always pawning it off to Asta so Asta can keep her MC status while Hailey stays lowkey. She also got it in her head that since the world was made for Asta, she better be on good terms with her so she befriended Asta as a result… I’m not too sure how that defines her as a pushover. From the start, she gave in to people who needed space around her because she can’t turn people in need away. Blonde ML, then the cook from the village, the lumberjacks and their wives and kids, etc. it’s always been her character trait from the start. Doesn’t make her a pushover.
I'm not talking about them, my issue is with Asta, she does things for Asta. Because of asta persuading her she gives that bich another chance. I've no issues MC giving hand to the people who are in need, but there are scene where it's showing a point funny where she gets ignored and everyone is gushing around asta. There is difference between loving and respecting. People in here may love because they were saved by her but respecting as lord of that land is different things. Maris is one of the person who treats her better. Asta pushing her "goodness" and she losing the resolve she had, it's pushover. All the people she had always expect something from her. But I liked it how author made scenes where to show differences. How Maris treat her. He asked her opinion not to push her. But Asta's influence is bad. Because she is always ready to push her goodwill agendas on vile men who won't bat eyes to use and discard someone.
Can’t say I’ve seen her do things Asta asked of her so far. She’s the one telling Asta what to do so she can follow the path that was written in the novel… if you remember a specific example, I’d be interested to see what it is since we clearly read their dynamic differently.
It’s so hard to find a fresh plot like this. Cheers to us who found it and finished reading, and to those reading it now... because seven years (since 2018) to finally get the ending sure is a blessing (▰˘◡˘▰) give me if u have any rec yall

There is a cliff hanger at chapter 109 but I believe the story should be wrapping up soon :)

Depending on which genres you like... 'Another Typical Fantasy Romance' is one I am loving at the moment (hint... it's not another typical fantasy romance). And it's just come back. Or 'Housekeeper in a Dungeon', 'A Fortune-Telling Princess', 'Please Don't Go to the Villianess' Stationery Store', 'Seijo no Maryoku wa Bannou desu' (which also has an anime... The Saint's Power is Omnipotent). There are BL & omegaverse that could be recommended too but not sure what you like.
