it's just that healing isn't immediate. taking the time to prepare is a process in itself, which can take days, weeks months. it's normal and depends on each person. so in a more healthy relationship, the top should've been patient and respected the bottom's hesitation and do something else until the latter can get more used to him.
I think you would be completely right if they weren't just (stupid) teenagers. I mean, the top cares about the bottom and he’s really trying to help- well, it’s not like he’s an angel who doesn’t consider what he wants too and i think that’s why people are feeling uncomfortable in some way, i get it, but it's just strange that they demand that a teenager knows how to deal with a psychological disorder as a mature adult would, they should normalize characters in anime/manga not being perfect. I mean, is it that hard to stop projecting yourself into a cisgender male character and wanting him to be basically a cis female with a penis? I SWEAR TO GOD, sometimes 70% of the comments on a manga like banana scandal where the bottom has a correct anatomy (and not a soft body like many mangakas like to stereotype) always have women in the comments saying things bout his body being more muscular than the seme and that its "weird" but BITCH WEIRD FOR WHOM? HAVE YOU EVEN SEEN A GAY MAN IN REAL LIFE??? YOU KNOW THEY'RE STILL CIS MEN, RIGHT? (unless they are trans but basically no manga has a trans boy in this site, unfortunately.)
Huh ? I'm sorry where you found these comments but most of the comment section under these sort of manga or manhwa are actually opposite of what you're saying.
I mean the current trend is basically everyone wanting the muscular character to be the bottom or maybe this is something that only I have noticed.
But some people do try to force the cis gender roles onto the characters but that trend is sort of in the declining phase.
