Starting at the begginning of the story instead of using too much flashbacks? It's been a while, it's kinda refreshing ╮(￣▽￣)╭

Also,
the way it showed that the time of the scene was in the future or in the past by changing objects was amazing.

Like, the scene were we were showed a ripped poster and them the poster in perfect state to show us that the next scene happened sometime earlier.
