weirdly enough this is one of the few stories where the mc is showing more red flag traits than the ml...mostly reading this for the cute ml now...
while I agree the mc has his issues, I feel like you're forgetting how the ml was treating him before finding out he has no memory of theor night together, as well as how he never even considered that the drunk guy he slept with could actually not remember things? or consent? or how he literally got interested in him BECAUSE mc wasn't interested in him? like, he does admit it in a stupid way, but it is true, he kept staring after him because mc was completely not staring at him. I'm not gonna complain about him being overly pushy and not taking the rejection, because mc is actively trying to push him away from his own child (forgetting that he's interested in mc as well) without ever considering that maybe he's a normal human who wants to be in their child's life. IDK, it feels like mc's issues come from need to protect himself, while ml's just come from him being spoiled and arrogant.
Pardon me I think I should have explained the red flag trait part better, what I was initially trying to point out was, it's usually the ml who raises the flag of bad communicating/keeping secrets for their reasons. But surprised to see an mc do it and in a different fashion from how other mc's have done it.
All in all it's a fictional story read it in whatever way you enjoy it the most. I find them both to be frustratingly cute and annoying and love them to death.
oh if you were just talking about the misunderstanding/ lack of explanation red flag, then yeah, I completely agree. I honestly always took it as subconscious sexism from the writers (not that i think badly of them, it happens when you constantly get these subliminal messages from the society) and what I mean by that is that it's usually the male stereotypes that they don't comunicate well (aka top) and the female stereotypes that does it better and is more empathetic (aka bottom)
But with all that said, I too really enjoy the characters and the story (▰˘◡˘▰)

It should be! Sometimes you may need to replace the sheep with lamb if it doesn't work the first time, that or you use the korean name 심연에서는 양을 따라가세요 then add english novel. The novel is completed too!
