I like how a glimpse into JN backstory and the stresses as a child would theoretically make him apathetic to people but his aunt taking him on would force him to be able to read and adapt to human behavior (still he’d be jaded bc of the roots to the skill)

Then with our ML we’re all pretty sure his “apathy” is just genuine ignorance of social norms/conventions bc he’s most likely autistic and thus eagerly wants to understand common human behavior through a more tangible and explicit system like books/stories.

To me so far they’re just the same. Outside of the ML debut he turned out to be a very appeasing and shy person who is good natured. If the best friend is not as pleasant a personality it’s a no from me. Lowkey I think the pretending already makes me feel like he’s faking with everyone else too Hwibum’s real test is being honest about what ML means to him to other people or he’s lowkey just as shitty as his friend
