Do people that write stories being straight or gay have something against sex? Maybe it stems from the ideas already present in the society. most of the manhwas are Korean and mostly female writers, and they knowingly or unknowingly project their own ideas about romance/sex onto the couple that they have formed from existing in the Korean society ( as misogynistic as it can get with toxic power dynamics ) where women are supposed to be submissive so they project that power dynamics onto the characters that they write.
That's my take anyway
