Gonna Gaslight myself that it'll have a happy ending...but the first scene in the first chapter...the old person...reading the letter...had a firefly on their hand...and then sitting in a forest like place surrounded by fireflies... THE FORESHADOWING BRUH... I can't help but be scared for them, I love them both, they so cute together, she so strong and lovable, he so silly & adorable But if her disease isn't cured, she'll eventually die...and if the story didn't play out like that and she gets cured...the past of Shinpei might catch up to him (even tho he said he'll still be a Hitman cuz that's only thing he knows, he might give it up for her but the ghosts of his past may still want him dead)... one way or another, they can be dead in the story
