There has been one thing that has been bothering me, and that's the fact Yashiro isn't really a masochist. Yes he says he is, but if you do a bit of research on mental health, you realize that Yashiro shows symptoms of several illnesses. At first I thought that it could possibly be depression, but then I did some research on BPD (Borderline Personality Disorder). The symptoms include chaos in relationships, intense or uncontrollable emotional outbursts, unstable interpersonal relationships and self-esteem, concerns about abandonment, self-damaging behaviour and impulsivity. And it gets even better, especially when there's a strong correlation between child abuse and/or neglect like the loss of caregivers—or more specifically, sexual abuse. Moreover, Yashiros tendency to act unexpectedly and without consideration of the consequences, difficulty in maintaining any course of action that offers no immediate reward, unstable and capricious (impulsive, whimsical) mood, liability to become involved in intense and unstable relationships and chronic feelings of emptiness supports my theory further. His subtype would most likely be either Self-Destructive(depressive or masochistic features, inward-turning, intropunitively angry; conforming, deferential, and ingratiating behaviors have deteriorated; increasingly high-strung and moody; possible suicide) or Impulsive (capricious, superficial, flighty, distractible, frenetic, and seductive; fearing loss, becomes agitated, and gloomy and irritable; potentially suicidal). Another defining feature is both his inability to drive (driving recklessly, not caring for personal safety) and people with BDP are more likely to exhibit greater sexual preoccupation, have earlier sexual exposure, engage in casual sexual relationships, report a greater number of different sexual partners as well as promiscuity, and engage in homosexual experiences. In addition, patients with borderline personality disorder appear to be characterized by a greater number of high-risk sexual behaviors; a higher likelihood of having been coerced to have sex, experiencing date rape, or being raped by a stranger; and the contraction of more sexually transmitted diseases
