ughh he found out that rose was lissane on the day of her execution?? and he even saw her getting hanged. he was this . close to saving her lol. if he had been even 1 second later, she would've died. it was so painful for me to read the novel, but that's a bit of a spoiler.

like that person said he’s gonna realize who she is right as she’s about to be hanged and save her in the nick of time but by then she’s already mentally broken AND she can’t talk, so even when she wakes up she’s going through mental struggles and has some resentment built up towards ml bc of how he treated her and insulted her when she miscarried THEIR baby. Then she decides that she rlly can’t stay with him cause she’ll never heal as long as he’s close so she goes back to her old school but he follows her all the way there but keeps his distance. Then after some months I think she’s at her school at night and the ml’s evil brother infiltrates with some enemy nations people and kills a lot of students and kidnaps mc. As she’s being taken the ml appears and saves her. A lotta fighting happens and mc is the one who shoots the final villain bc at that point ML has been stabbed and injured severely by the enemies, She tries to keep him awake cause he’s losing consciousness and might die, and she finally gets her voice back in that moment of desperation, Then backup arrives and takes them back to his mansion but he asks that mc be transported somewhere separate to keep her safe (in a house he prepared for her) so she goes there and she’s happy and the both share letters. Then some time passes and ml joins her there and they have a happy ending and there’s some side stories too
