I feel like this was a deliberate choice by the author at this point to make Jaekyung regress in character just to keep the story going because it's popular. I noticed a trend with all my favorite manhwa, once they hit chapter 90ish it usually goes down hill from there as the plot stalls. Like it's chapter 96 why tf aren't they offically together by now? I feel like I wasted my time and I was the biggest supporter of this series from the start.

Authors sign for a numbers of chapters for each season, they rarely can elongate it. Also the artist has said in the first season that they had already planned out the whole story (which, with the heavy rhythm they must follow each week (à good 60 hours for 60 panels), is really needed).
I can understand that the regression feels annoying, but it’s actually pretty realistic. People don’t change that easily, and J has always had a weak ego. And scenario wise, it’s probably is just the great fall before the rising of the finale. If the characters are in the worst place of the story, them getting out of it will feel more intense, which is needed for the ending to feel satisfying.
But yeah, the story has always been planned for two seasons, we’re reaching the end of it now
The writer realizes this is extremely popular and they're now milking this for all its worth, even to the point of ruining the story. It's the only thing I can think of as to why this is going absolutely nowhere even though it should be. I can't seem to drop if because I'm hopeful that one day the story will get back on track, it was so good it'll always have a special place in my heart
I'm genuinely curious how paying readers are receiving this pacing. Like, does the author even acknowledge pacing issues? Are they in an echo chamber of y/n enjoyers who are sucking off author? Are they ignoring criticism because they cant be bothered or chs have already been made?

Listen I like the art and the sex scenes. I don't even care that the MC is basically a sex toy at the moment. However by making Mi-eum content to stay chained to a bed, his character honestly feels useless like the story would progress without him. Jian contacting Mi-eum for the name tag was not necessary and it feels like the creator did that to give the illusion that Mi-eum is still important or something. Mi-eum needs to leave or at the very least try too because Jitae will never treat him as an equal so that he can be interesting
I'm going to have to go back and reread this after I separate it from the novel because at this point it's like 2 different stories.
1) the apostle Teil doesn't show up at all in the novel, and is made up for the webtoon but alteast he's cute
2) Biggest change gots to be lee min sung, and I'm really disappointed. Because the apostle isn't in the novel lee min sung is actually controlled by Arsha (heir to the insect monarch, that girl in the host club talking to Min Sung in the beginning was actually important in the novel) but because of his ego Arsha can't fully control him either. He ends up becoming the new heir to the insect monarch and becomes a shadow soilder named Kwei who can talk. He's loyal to Sunho and he beefs with Beru daily. Why they changed this idk
3) Everytime Sunho takes control of a monarch heir he's transported to the former monarchs domain to chat with them. Afterwards they randomly show up and run commentary on his life like they're watching Sunho live stream. It’s pretty funny.
There's a bunch of other stuff they changed as well and honestly I would have loved this webtoon if I never read the novel first. The Webtoon is still really good but just different
I let this marinate for almost 10 chapters and I came back to find that nothing happened. Hae-soo is still insecure in her not quite a relationship with Taeha because he's being purposely vague about his background but she won't confront him about it but still worries that he's lying but won't press him for answers. It's an endless cycle. Nothing is being done with Taeha's family or with Taeha himself. Before he was mysterious but now it's annoying that he can't give her an honest answer to save his life. He's obessed with Hae-soo and I love that but what else? No other confrontation with Mincheol and idgaf about his background I need karma to break a chair over his head and leave him concussed. Also I need the plot to start moving again.
