And by original work I mean the novel.
The ecchi parts and over sexualisation of teenagers were definitely not needed (although it is mentioned in the novel they have intercourses but it does serve a purpose when here it is totally unnecessary, if anything it really made me uncomfortable) and the characters are underdeveloped and different. Maria became a non-stop crybaby and Saki is way too bold when her character is supposed to be way more subtle. And the events are so rushed istg. I really disliked reading this. The anime did a far better job.
I just discovered there's an eight episodes drama (aired in 2021). Just started the second episode and it follows the original work so far! The actress playing Aiko is doing a great work, I hate her as much as the one in the manga lmao
Yes, at least at some point. The drama follows the story up to a little after where the manga is currently updated (ch. 63). So I guess the drama follows up the manga until somewhere between ch. 65 and 70.
However it mainly focuses on Noburu/Aiko and I disliked the ending (it's basically Aiko winning imo)

OMG YES THANK YOU
