Wrong accent in most of the posts. It refers to a wick in French, « la mèche ». Change the accent you change the word. « Un péché » a sin to « une pêche » a peach. « Le Méché » is masculine, so it can only be « La Mèche ».

and "Le Méché" doesn't exist either xD

SockBunny September 16, 2025 3:05 am

The accent is incorrect. « La Mèche » refers to a wick in French. Even the images show it is a grave and not acute accent on the [-e-]. Please fix it.

If any of the translators/translation groups are interested, I'd be willing to do proof-reading/editing/revising pro bono, of course time permitting.

With regards to professional university work, I specialize, as the title indicates, in American English stylistics and Metropolitan French. Lessons, and therefore competency in 15th-21st century writing styles between both languages are predominant only second to modern/contemporary stylistics.

Furthermore, I am Japanese, and owing to the fact that Korean also uses the same particle tagging structure, is a context-based language, and is very culturally similar, I can potentially provide very rudimentary translation, albeit my preference is proof-reading/editing.

In any case, I will keep PMs/DMs open and see if there's any interest. My main goal is for more palatable translation that are not marred with an overabundance of incomprehensible direct translations/word-for-words, idiosyncrasies, grammatical and lexical blunders, and logical fallacies.

Look forward to cooperation were(subj.) it to happen,

Bunny/Sumi ฅ^•ﻌ•^ฅ

PS–If anyone was wondering, I am an actual certified English/French interpreter and translator in the US of A. It is a very rigorous process, so despite my lack of competency in Korean, I have some proficiency (not to be confused with fluency), and as such, I am primed to look for certain issues—e.g.—untranslatables, word-for-word translation, lack of proficiency, idiosyncracies, incorrect translation/meaning, incorrect interpretation, excessive adaptation, inserting unwarranted information, etc.
