I get it, you have your own grudge for your safety, but honey sweetcakes the prophecy is somehow changed and your majesty did too. He didn't disregard her like in the book so of course he's now worried for her and treated her as his own. She took care of him, helped in his alcoholism, and even provided to the kingdom so please open your eyes and heart.
She did all of that just to avoid being killed it never came from a place of actual concern plus if she wouldn't have done all these things and lived the way she was before reading the book I don't think she would be alive by now
