Rearead this and I feel so bad for Jun. He already got rejected they should have at least been more considerate towards his feelings.

dafuq May 23, 2026 2:28 pm

What is yaoi mangas’ obsession with getting together with the rapist?!!???

dafuq May 17, 2026 2:27 pm

Not every love story has to be about normal people. They were both twisted, and so was their romance. This isnt rainbows and sunshine kind of love story but I think that’s what made this manhwa speacial. I liked it and I recommend reading it!

The match could have been a bit longer, it felt like a kids video game lol

This is stretching so long like those Turkish series lmao

Can anyone recommend mangas/manhwa like this please?? Angsty, shit that will make me puffy eyed the next day :p

dafuq February 26, 2026 6:25 am

HELP guys Im lost, I thought ido said that he killed himself twice? That he made the same mistake two times already? But they only had one past life. Another thing that didn’t sit well with me is ido’s drastic personality difference. We actually never got a proper explanation for why he was so rude in his previous life, even before the misunderstandings occurred.

In the novel side stories tell the entire story but from Kwon Ido pov. I dont know wheater the manhwa will continue into the side story or itk just end at chp 109. Ido only killed himself once and that after past sejin's funeral.

I hope they make the side stories. I'm not done yet with this

I REFUSE to believe chapter 16 was the original ending. They got their happy ending, got married, the end

dafuq July 23, 2025 10:03 pm

Everyone here saying that his past doesn’t excuse his actions but “explains” it. I’m sorry? If anything, a person that has been abused will be repulsed by the idea of abuse let alone commit it. I don’t understand how going through those things pushes a person to do the exact same thing to another human being.

    Valhalla July 23, 2025 10:09 pm

Unfortunately that’s not always the case. Sometimes the abused does become the abuser. The human mind is a strange and powerful thing and no person reacts the same way. It’s just a sad reality of life.

    sagesorrow July 23, 2025 10:10 pm

unfortunately, not everyone thinks like that. i've witnessed it first hand within my family and sadly a lot of abused people become abusers, thats why generational trauma is a thing. a vicious cycle that gets repeated

    Nua_busines July 23, 2025 10:11 pm

I understand what you mean for sure but psychologically it does happen. It’s NOT okay first of all but being abused does tend to lead up to the abused become an abuser. This is especially seen in bullys and family’s. If a kid is an abused at home many times that kid will go bully a weak kid at school. No it’s not okay. When it comes to family, it can go one for generations and generations, it can be broken yes but sometimes what kids learn at home is what they reflect in the world outside their home. Just to make it clear again, you’re right it’s NOT okay, but it does “explain” in a way from psychological standpoint. BUT as you said there are also instances where the abused get repulsed upon abuse and don’t do abuse for the exact reason they were abuse. Mind you I’m not defending Jks bad actions to Kim Dan.

I do agree with that. But we all know that this story is going to end up with him owning up to his actions and happy ending. Plus, that coach in the end tried to fix him and showed him unconditional kindness. Has he learnt nothing? It has become a BL recipe at this point. He could have shown empathy but instead decided to put him through the same pain. Why do we still cheer for this relationship?

You right it gets annoying. Thats why we can just drop it or some read it from a psychological trauma view like when someone reads horror but worse. I think JK sucks but has grown like the tiniest bit but not enough still wish he didn’t do what he did but oh well. Also his fuck ass pride is just so fucking big like ugh it gets in the way

But imagine urself going through all tht shit as a kid.... It's bound to leave an impact.. U don't have to be empathetic, but just think abt it logically. If the abused don't have something to hold on to, how are they gonna survive...down the line they are always going to feel insecure and they would end up guarding themselves for no reason.... Like other commenters said, human reactions are weird.

100%. I think if you don’t read this like a regular happy love story and just accept the dark setting, it becomes more tolerable. I just really like the drawings and the angst sometimes so it’s my fault as well for not being able to drop it

    MyLynn July 23, 2025 10:41 pm

You try to make sense of an instinctive response, which doesn't have logic in it. A kid doesn't have emotional regulation yet, can't tell right from wrong at age 6, and continues to absorb information and feedback at least until 10-12, their personality forms, changes. He was treated lile a dog, and dogs can become agressive if constantly treated like shit. Also, these interactions can be translated very simplistic: my dad is big, scary and beats me-> he's strong -> if I want to become strong to avoid hurt,I have to adapt and become ruthless. Yes, he received care, and to rewire a kid's brain, this amount of care is not enough. Agression response is ingrained in this character as a survival mechanism. The logic is similar irl too: bully or be bullied, and they already know how it is to be bullied. A lot of these people are in a constant 'fight or flight' mode, surviving without even realizing this. Pretty nasty situation tbh, for everyone else, and for them too.

As a law student, I saw many cases like this too unfortunately. While I do understand JK’s mindset to some extent, it’s still so shocking. But this kind of person, no matter how hard they try to repent, should not be forgiven, or get back together with. These mangas tend to always have that lightbulb moment where the abuser suddenly realises they are in love and magically do a 180 change in their character without seeing an actual therapist, which I always found so unrealistic.

Of course it's unrealistic, I'm actually happy it is. It means -at least for me- that the author never experienced something like this and they can't reproduce it accurately, thank God.
I partially agree with you, only partially, because if no one reaches out to these people,I think we failed on a few levels as humans. I'm not talking about the victims offering forgiveness, but others, professionals should take action. These individuals were left alone once, they should not be abandoned twice.
