dude same, and- u aren’t alone, it’s called sensor overstimulated ( maybe that’s not what you’re feeling but letting u know wouldn’t hurt!) i have a hard time with it and it’s hard, i get super affected with emotions, and ppl around me makes me tired from their emotions and all the impressions i have to take it, super super much overstimulated and overload can make me cry or ye meltdown- maybe this is not at all the same, tho yesh!

(Please exclude momxson,sonxdad, daughterxdad, daughterxmom, siblings type of incest specifically for my question) Personally, as of now I dont hate incest specifically in historical plots, or mangas literally made years ago. Please correct me if I’m wrong but apparently incest has only been made illegal in the recent year/gen and that consensual incest is still legal in japan? I’m honestly and genuinely curious as to what other people think so please let me know! I’m not trying to be offensive in any way ok! I just want to be more educated and open.

To be honest, I have no clue why I’m reading some incest and not frequently (not trying to offend anyone), but I only basically read for the plot but if it were to happen in real life, I wouldn’t really be in support of it because it’s kinda weird... I mean just imagining it since I have a sibling...
Anyway, I’m just exploring various genres because I feel as though other stories are so limited or similar. And I didn’t think too much of it ‘cause it was fictional...

It makes me rlly uncomfortable. Idrc when it was made or the plot, if there is any sort of incest (even between like step siblings or whatever where their not actually related) i just stop watching bc it makes me feel uncomfy lol
in MANGA, i'm ok with SOME forms of incest as long as they're not directly blood related like if they're step siblings or cousins. I can't read manga if they're directly related like siblings or parentXchild. In real life, I don't support ANY forms of incest, even if they're not blood related like step siblings. That's just straight up weird and highkey gross in real life.

Honestly.. throw in some sorrow tons of sens of guilt and make the characters realize how wrong it is and I will read it and possibly like it too. By no means do I support those kind of relationships but complicated situation with tons of emotions are so fun to read lol, purely for seeing the characters struggle tbh.,. I mean flowers in the attic is still one of my favorite books and it’s... filled with incest sooo... I don’t really have the right to say I’m against it xD
Thanks for all ur responses! Definitely agree that I would also never tolerate or support in real life. In terms of in manga n shiz it definitely does depend on the reader til where or what sort of relationship they can absorb! For the most part looking at the context of the story really matters.
