Bc it's a shitty story that isn't even trying to give depth to mc and ml relationship, they knew each other before both struggles in life but they are in very different positions, mc is a retard idiot who think about nothing, ml is finding excuses for his competition with his brother, attraction to the mc , his family business. The story is pretty simple to understands but the characters are so enrolled in shit and stupid it's making have a second thought if what they are doing is fr or nt
Bescuse the artist has left out on so many plot points from the novel. They dont even hav sx in the novel in this scene but rather a somewhat surface-level deep conversation about their relationship from the past and if its possible for the ml to ever stop hating the mc or something like that. The adaptation is sooooooo bad.
