Yes, it can get tiresome for people who just want you to trust them and depend on them especially if the really love him like his boyfriend does. Cause why is he covering up for that jerk that tore him down it’s very frustrating and sad. But hopefully they talk it out and he understands this doesn’t make him selfless if anything it makes it selfish and very disrespectful to intentionally hide things just to make your self look bad and less bothersome. This is the problem with people who believe they are morally upright. They justify things such as lying etc under the ruse that it is kind or for the better when in reality their judgement of what is 'good' is incredibly warped and distorted. Mostly because you cannot categorise majority of the world into 'good' and 'bad' and should never try.
