there r some already read stuff coming back, but the thing is this is def not what is in my alrdy read. all the stuff thats in my alrdy read is stuff that was back in 2020 that ive deleted.

YES. this is my answer to another user with the same concern:
hi! no worries. remember the book and timestamp analogy: "think of this like we're reading through a giant BOOK of everyone’s manga list, arranged by the exact time each manga was added (aka timestamps). Each timestamp is like a page in the book, and we read them from the oldest timestamps to the newest."
When you make changes to your want to read/reading/already read lists (eg. transfer from Reading to Already read), the timestamps of those changes will also be recorded. so going back to the book and timestamp analogy, we're still reading the timestamps for Sep 2020 (as of writing this reply), so if we havent reached the timestamp for those changes yet, your mangas wont appear correctly.
And to add to that, as far as I remember even if timestamps are arranged from oldest to newest, theyre also grouped by Already read, Reading, and Want to read. and they have a certain order to be followed when added back, which is why if youve noticed only Already read mangas are coming back first (but everything else will come back eventually and correctly. dont worry)
So to clarify your question, there's a certain order to things which is why theyre not showing correctly YET. And about resetting an account, no there's no quick and easy way for this except for deleting them one by one
