the lack of reading comprehension/understanding of complex characters and emotions in these comments (among many stories) is always so interesting, fascinating but frustrating as well. both yeonwoo and haesol are flawed complex characters (teenagers with no good coping skills or even people skills) and the author is exploring that beautifully. is it heartbreaking? yes! but it’s good story! we only JUST got yeonwoo’s backstory which creates more understanding for his actions and thoughts (doesn’t excuse it) and we are only on the tip of haesol’s backstory. also it has been super clear that haesol doesn’t have a healthy relationship with emotions and expressing those emotions (she lacks emotional intelligence) so of course she is going to act in weird ways (as we saw with yeonwoo’s codependency, trauma + terrible life skills = bad decisions). either way ofc a break up or serious break is in order but im sure the two will find a way to come back to each other once they learn to communicate better / tackle their trauma effectively. (i love this series so much) (づ￣ ³￣)づ
the problem with jaekyung is he’s like RIGHT there, he knows dan needs to take better care of himself and knows that he wants dan to take better care of himself but he can’t ever say or do the right things and that’s his problem. how are you gonna recognize that this behavior is obviously not what should be happening and still do it anyway?? if dan says use him…make the boy lay down and go to sleep DONT SLEEP WITH HIM. his redemption arc is coming but it’s not fast enough i need that boy to be on his knees crying and begging by the time he realizes what he needs to do now to keep dan in his life. and dan…oh poor dan…i need dan to hate him even if just for a second..like dan…DANGLE HIM OVER THE BALCONY or sumn idk!!!
