It really ruins the story no matter how good the art style or plot is. It's really unnecessary too even in toxic manhwas. One that I'm still mad and disappointed about is roses and champagne cuz it had sooooo much potential for me and I was loving literally every chapter of it untill rape happened...Everything went down hill after that. Yes the art style improved but plot wise? Trash. It's like Caesar's whole personality changed like he was some horny dog with no other purpose. as well as Leewon's like dude have a back bone. Their only purpose was "fucking" which is Caesar forcing himself on Leewon gosh couldn't even finish the chapters properly with how disgusting it was. Personally, my biggest prob with these stories are the lack of proper tagging or trigger warnings, but then again you expect the worse when it is labelled as R19. And if a story has proper trigger warnings and you still read it even though you know there are themes/contents that will make you hella uncomfortable, then it’s on you. Tbh I totally understand the SA in stories are horrible for the plot. It does ruin it. Especially if it's repetitive and just fucking all the time. Like it's fucking with plot instead of plot with occasional sex. But SA and rape ruined things for sure. I do have personal exceptions though I do know some will read any and all.
