I get it may be controversial, but I actually got really happy when i saw the open ended endings! I was a bit disappointed with the prologue at first because I thought that Hinase shouldn't have a confirmed gender, but this is almost better! Especially since the people who felt strongly one way or another can feel satisfied regardless of what they wanted, since they're all technically canon. This was an incredibly smart move from the mangaka!
