I ship them and I don't need to justify shit. It's a rape plot trope. The author is quite clear in her official art that she promotes the ship as well.
So, although I am not attacking you for wasting your time reading a rape plot trope that you clearly don't enjoy because you want to see 'how Nakyum will handle all the crap that he's been hit by', I have an honest question to you: after you see how Nakyum will fall in love with the rapist, you mean to say you stop reading or will read until the happy ending of this abusive relationship?

I have another question too since I am becoming quite curious about how shamers like you think.... do you really believe that readers of an adult fiction that shows something wrong like rape, incest, etc, that they deserve to be shamed for their choice of ship? Do you think that we would all be better off if there was a law, or Government or maybe a religious commission that decided which fiction and ship should be acceptable?
I am getting curious about what the shamers like you want. Does that bother you that much that people ship two fictional characters that in real life should not be shipped? What makes you so angry to the point that you feel this need to shame people who ship Nakyum and Seungho?

Honestly for me, I think it is fine for people to ship who they want, and we have to respect their opinions. I mean I personally don't mind if the seme or the uke do end up together or neither do i mind if they don't. I just wish the uke is happy and the seme to figure out all these problems in his head. Honestly in this setting of the story, it kinda puts the uke and seme's relationship at a disadvantage because the seme is from a high class and the uke is from the lower class and that is another obstacle on why the seme "can't love the uke." ╮(￣▽￣)╭

I sure hope she is not one of those losers who 'targets authors who glorify abuse', at least not the ones who write stories for adults. The one thing I find amusing on these fiction moral police is that they actually believe they are saving people by targeting rape plot aimed to adults while a lot of them cheer on the grooming shounei Ai that, exactly because don't show such unrealistic crime like rape, and aim at kids, are the real danger of BL in glorifying abuse.
In order for something to be 'glorified' it needs an audience that is not mature enough and it's much easier too to fool people with blurred lines. I am still to find one adult who became a rapist or that start thinking rape was okay or normal after reading Yaoi rape trope.
I don't think adults shipping Yaoi incest couple are glorifying incest. Or the Yaoi stories with flurries glorify bestiality. They are all free choices of fiction for adults to choose from and there shouldn't be this kind of shame censorship that these people are trying to do here. They want a sanitized Yaoi where they define what should be shipped and the way they think they can achieve that is by chasing stories and shaming shippers?

Damn now you guys are going full analytical on me and assuming what I think just on a post I made? While I would insult you for wasting your time trying to justify your “It’s just fiction agenda”, your responses have opened my eyes a bit. But what I am really targeting are the girls or straight girls to be specific who ignores seungho’s flaws just because he did something that is in a bare minimum standard for unattractive men and then ignores all the other crazy and traumatizing crap he did to nakyum that’s why they still ship them

For the last question, I’ll still keep on reading it but my distaste for the nakyum x seungho ship will be much more worse but who knows I might change my perspective due to the replies here but for now I really hate the relationship since it shows that nakyum still has an inkling of like towards seungho just because seungho showed a miniscule amount of affection towards him, and how he downplays all the other crap that seungho did to him. Which is also why I question people who genuinely ships them since it’s just so toxic and straight up abusive

Ah the thing about the adult readers thing is the fact that majority of the shippers or so I think are young girls who thinks just because seungho is handsome he can get away with everything and they’ll devotingly kiss the ground he walks on just because he’s the main guy and he only did those fucked up things to nakyum because he has an oh so devastating sob backstory. You were certainly right on the post of targetting the shippers since it is quite obvious but other than that I came for the ship first but when I saw how degrading seungho treated nakyum (the part where he chose to not believe nakyum and assumed he ran away is the last straw for me), I changed from shipping them to just wanting to see how nakyum would fare just like the other people who dropped the ship but still wanting to read the story because they want to see nakyum happy with or without seungho (the latter option would be more preferable imo)

The thing with the shamers is that no matter the explanation, you are not really interested. Once you put yourself in the role of judge and drawing the lines, you are not really up for understanding or considering anything.
There is no 'It's just fiction' agenda. No one has an agenda. It's a fact. It's just fiction and the tolerance, taste, personal experience, perspective is what influence someone to engage in certain things in fiction that others may not. I may not like incest stories, I may not understand readers who can read it but I am capable to understand that I should start reading an incest story where I know the MCs will get have a relationship and 'target' the shippers with my personal fictional moral limit. Incest is immoral, it's creepy, it's disgusting in real life, right? So do you hang around incest stories shaming shippers and demanding that they explain why they ship two brothers? I'm guessing not because somehow you are capable to understand that either it's none of your business that people are okay reading incest or, if you don't like the genre yourself, you just stay away from it and let people enjoy whatever they want in fiction.

It's really not up to you to define for others their tolerance or limit on what the character do. It gets more puzzling because the story is up to almost 70 chapters and readers who say they dislike are still here, clearly frustrated so it's all these people who are acting weird because most of the shippers are waiting for the redemption arc and have a good reason to believe it's coming. Like I said, it's the author who is driving this hope with all those official arts promoting their happy ending. It's all the people who are so bothered by the prospect of Seungho ending with Nakyum who needs questioning. It's 70 chapters of 'toxic and straight up abuse' Chances of Seungho end up with Nakyum is way more, way more than the kind of social justice modern realistic morals you guys are expecting for. So, it seems the only joy you guys take from this is to 'target' shippers just because there is nothing else good in this story for the shamers.

I don't even understand your logic in here. So you say you are assuming the role of parenting and babysitter and educator for the young girls in here? And your way to do that is to shame the shippers?
I hear this excuse from shamers a lot but this is what makes less sense to me. I explain why: does anyone at all really believe that a reader will start thinking that rape is okay after reading Yaoi rape plot? How many rape plots like POTN a person has to read for them to get convinced that rape is just normal? Do you think you will ever be convinced that rape is not so bad if you read POTN?
Another problem that I have with this logic: rape is a pretty obvious abuse. Someone forces you and stick a dick up yours. There is not much blurred lines in what you are reading. You know that is rape and if this happens in real life, no matter how hot the man is, you, even as 'young girl' has properly grew up with enough information to know that a man doing what Seungho does to Nakyum in real life is not what should be. However, interesting that you are so worried about 'young girls who think that just because the character is hot he can get away with everything' because I do agree that there is such a thing as fiction aimed at young audience that portrays abuse as cute. But do you know what fiction is that? The fiction where the abuse is not something so clear and cut like rape. It's the blurred lines that never show the rape but have a hot boy stalking, forcing himself on an weaker uke, being his bully, touching his private and the uke falling in love with his bully and they become a cute couple. All that can be found here in a very popular shounei Ai. The uke there is called 'tsundere' and although the formula is exactly the same of an adult rape plot without the rape : a dominant seme forces his love and affection on a weaker uke and the relationship starts with the seme beating, bullying, abusing the uke and then protecting, becoming softer, The uke there is never said to have 'Stockholm Syndrome' but that again an uke who falls in love with the man who abuses him. I never ever saw any of the shamers in adult rape plot --- a genre with a very unrealistic situation where there is no blurred lines and can't be confused -- never one shamer so worried about young girls being groomed into learning abuse is cute spend this much time on these shounei ai trying to educate those girls that although there is no rape in that story, all that they are reading is realistic abuse that happens everyday with teens starting their life.
So, if you are worried about young girls, the 'target' shouldn't be these adults rape plot stories because someone would have to be mentally challenged to start believing rape is good just because they read it in POTN. They may however, see all the sexual harassment, abuse and bullying of a shounei ai being portrayed as cute and really find themselves more vulnerable to distinguish this as abuse in their real life.

The 'energy' here is to point out the fact that all shamers take for granted that they live in a society where they even have the choice to read something like this or not. What is the purpose of morality police like you to shame shippers? You want people to follow your personal moral line for their fiction. If you and the shamers had your way, stories like POTN wouldn't be written, they would have a script where a defined moralistic rule would be followed. That's exactly what happens in countries and societies where a group of people defines for everyone else what is the limit, the rules for their fiction. We know this. What do you guys aim with this shaming? First of all, the author is the shipper on this and you are patronizing her work by reading it. Second, if your goal is a sanitized Yaoi where rape plot tropes are not written, you may get more than you bargained for. If non normative rape plot is to be censored, why not everything else that is less than moral in real life? Should we create a commission that defines what adult fiction should 'glorify' or not? Which moral rules should adult readers follow according to you if you were in charge of controlling what others can ship or not? Would Omegaverse pass your censorship or be shamed? Incest? What about flurries that is flat out 'glorifying' bestiality but in a cuter way? I'm also not into shotacon but that's why I don't read it. I can't imagine starting a shotacon story just because I like the art or it's popular but knowing it's a shotacon, knowing I will see shippers that I don't agree with and then make my mission to keep posting shame on the adults who choose to read it. If I choose to read something that will make me uncomfortable, it's a choice I made and I should vent my frustration by shaming the audience. They are where they should be. They are adults picking a poison that I don't like. How weird is it that I behave like your guys do by entering a door that had a big warning for me and then thinking everyone should change their shipping or behave to make me comfortable.

Now, that's interesting because it's not even that you dislike non con stories. People who dislike non con tropes like these wouldn't be shipping them at any point since the story was clearly a rape trope trope very early. So what you saying is that you have a certain limit for non con where you stop shipping and then you think that everyone else should follow whichever is your defined point and if they don't that they should be shamed for going on shipping the couple.
Personally I don't think people should be shamed at all for any reason why they ship this or any other fictional couple. I don't really care if people enjoy rape fantasies ( a reading on the Wikipedia about rape in Yaoi is quite interesting on having a perspective on his classic Yaoi trope). I happen to believe that almost all shippers in tropes like this are on it for the redemption arc so it's even less fair that people are shamed just because their patience or tolerance to wait for this part is different from yours, even more so that, as I said, the shippers are heavily influenced by what the author dangles in front of them with all these official arts where they see the couple happy.
For the readers who will get upset or frustrated that Nakyum will be happy with Seungho, these shaming posts will get more and more called off because unless the author is really planning to drive a knife on the heart of the shippers who are following her lead, the story will get more and more driven to that outcome. So the shippers will be understandingly happy and cheering more and more this relationship. So if the shamers will get even more aggressive attacking the shippers because they will see them enjoying something that they can't, of course they will be hit with more talk back about why hang around a story that brings them no pleasure, unless it's for the petty pleasure to trash people who ship what they don't.
I really ask you to check on the official art from the author. These are quite possible hints of how the author intends to deliver this. If those images are not something that you can't live with without shaming the people who like it, do you plan to shame us to the end in some misguide notion that people who ship Nakyum and Seungho (and the author herself) should be shamed into your moral compass for fiction?

well I'm continuing the story to see what happens to nakyum at the end. will he finally escape for good and heal from the trauma and be able to be truly happy again. or will he stay with seungho after developing Stockholm syndrome and think its "true love". I will be disappointed if its the second choice but obviously I can't do anything about that. I'm reading the story for mr Kim and heena noona as well.

C'mon, being the main lead helps. Jihwa is beautiful but almost everybody hates him. And Seungho is also the typical "bad boy with a hot body and a troublesome past" . Plus there are double standards even when they try to justify Seungho, using the excuse of the historical setting, but this doesn't apply for Inhun's homophobia or Jihwa's disdain towards commoners
