Can you blame her? She lost her kid and now some random other kid that shares the same name as said kid she lost I'd likely act like that too she's probably heartbroken and even though the MC is definitely her kid the mom doesn't know that yet
So what if some other kid share the same name as her lost child, she has no right to be so rude to her, a little girl or whoever else it might it. There are so many people in the world so it is normal for someone to have the same name as someone else
Do you not realize this is a setting where maids cannot act like that with nobles? The mom is a grand duchess who's weak and is distraught from her lost child even if it happened years ago and now a maid who shares said kids name is acting like how the MC does I can get that the MC wants a relationship with her as she's sure the grand duchess is her mom but the grand duchess doesn't know that to her this random brown haired and brown eyed maid from house Ellard is acting disrespectful if you still don't get it I won't be replying again
We can say that because our pov is omnicient third person, but the characters in the story were set to not know what we know. Obviously she was set to be a mother who is depressed and didnt eat well and constantly wary so it's aligned with her character to always be on alert.
You're severely underestimating the grief she's going through if you think shes being nothing but bitchy for no reason. There is a reason you just can't or don't want to understand it
