There used to be mangapanda too when that went down i shifted to mago

there are definitely more skips than exceptions. it’d be like watching a movie then suddenly the main characters and storyline switches.
unless its short and just to move the plot along, i get it. but to have 13+ nonstop chapters of the side characters is crazyyyyy

i agree with that to some extent. i think its because i signed up to read a specific story w a specific pairing, but then have another couple i didnt rlly care about thrust upon me.

a good personal example i can think of is 'heat & run,' the main cp had like 20 eps and then became a side pairing in their own story, i ended up dropping it.

ofc there are also exceptions where i end up enjoying the 2nd cp more (for me, its in 'fate makes no mistakes')

I'm the opposite, if you read most stories, the second pair's story is usually written better. I think it's because after a year or so of writing a story, the author become better at writing. I usually prefer 70% of second couples to the original.

I think you're right on point. That's probably why I don't like second pairs, because I didn't sign up for them lol
