I genuinely just recently realised this community is one big battlefield of a ship war I mean, I also prefer Yaachan x Toono more but ion take it that seriously, cuz the story in itself isn’t serious to begin with. Meanwhile, I see ppl genuinely shitting on the other love rival or shippers. Guys, let’s calm down and just enjoy this ride lol. Dang, so I‘m the only who thinks the situation is more complicated than just „Akemi bad guy“ ? If there’s one thing I know about my goat Ogeretsu‘s writing it‘s that she would never write her main characters as one dimensional as this. (I just came back from reading her other mangas) Notice how Akemi said „you don’t need to feel bad for me anymore“ and the flashback of them actually being best friends in the beginning? My guess is that Akemi probably thinks Itome just went out with him to make him feel better Abt his brother but this ended up hurting him more in the long run, probably not fully realising that Itome actually loves him now. Don’t think it’s fair to say Akemi should die when we don’t know the full perspectives yet
It could be more complicated, but it doesn't erase the fact that he is being an ass rn.

I love this story sm it’s so bittersweet imo :‘) Seeing how much Hayashida and Yumi grew by the end of the story and that Hayashida can finally look at their past memories not as a way to make himself suffer and feel guilty, but to actually remember the beautiful memories they had together makes me so emotional. I love stories that feel like character studies and I definitely enjoyed all the characters involved in this „franchise“ and their complex personalities and emotions
