What's the difference between manga, manhwa, and manhua?
Manga is Japanese comic - Many genres and different styles of drawing
Manga is Korean comic - mostly romance genres and usually drawings have big eyes and long thick eyelashes and all that sh*t
Manga is Chinese comic - mostly romance but there are also adventure genre and mostly fighting of some kind. Most of them colored.
Manga = Japanese TERM for "comics".
Manhua = Chinese term for "comics".
Manhwa = Korean term for "comics".
A common misconception is that manga/manhua/manhwa = Japanese/Chinese/Korean comics. "Manga" simply means "comics" in Japanese, but nowadays, every time someone talks about manga, they believe they are talking about Japanese comics. In reality, you're basically just saying "comics" in Japanese. That's why I often correct myself and just say "Japanese comics", not "manga". I hope this is understandable.
