You say that you don't want to disrespect anyone, cherryberry. Yet that is exactly what you have done. I can only agree with the post above me. You are spoiled, ungrateful, rude, disrespectful and entitled. You claim this is one of your top three stories. Yet you don't even know that "he" is a she and what the mangaka's name is or what she has been going through. You don't pay for any of this, you read it for free (illegally). But instead of being grateful to the sensei and the scanlation group all you do is whine, bitch and complain. I find people like you truly pathetic.

I don't understand what you really want from this post. Yes it will continue on 28/8 - release date for the magazine in Japan - and yes of course we'll have to wait for a translation to be posted on these illegal sites after that. You feel like we're entitled to more?

Sensei (like most Manga-ka) is under a lot of pressure and works herself to exhaustion, she works at the pace that allows her to produce the best work for us (which we are pirating, illegally on this site - when yeah, more of us could do more to support her!)
After the death of her father and illness years ago her work has not been the same. It is incredibly hard to get motivation for creativity when you are going through a hard time in your life and to be honest, she has no obligation to do any of it anyway - she is an artist, not a civil servant.

She is giving us the gift of Yaoi and we are lucky enough to get to see it, lets be grateful for what we can get. You can also keep up to date quite easily on the manga releases that you are expecting, follow the scanlation groups - this is all very doable to make the wait time a little easier. You can also see on Sensei's Twitter that she is practically always drawing...

Actually, LadyL I believe she has two assistants, but she also publishes Crimson Spell every two months. Drawing does take a long time though, and I think the assistants just add the tones and some of the background. (there was a photo of sensei with her assistants somewhere on this site)
And @CherryBerry, the scanlation group does a great job getting this cleaned and translated - on a volunteer basis - each time they get a hold of the scans, so don't be so bloody ungrateful!

I don't get you people. How long have you been reading manga? What part of serial publishing do you not understand? Serial: noun 1. anything published, broadcast, etc., in short installments at regular intervals, as a novel appearing in successive issues of a magazine.

This manga has returned after an extended hiatus and since February, has appeared in every issue of BeBoy Gold, which only publishes every other month. That's average for a traditional print-based Japanese yaoi. Frustrated by waiting for new chapters? Upset that it's not long enough? Then this isn't the format for you. Go read novels or just wait and come back when this is finished. The entitled whining and bitching gets old.

NEWSFLASH, ASSHOLE: SHE DOES. Sensei took an extended break for reasons well documented (it's called LIFE, you know? That thing where family members die and you get seriously ill and other shit happens? you wouldn't know about it, of course). Since February she is back to the regular schedule of B-Boy Magazine, which is EVERY OTHER MONTH. That's right, every two months, not every five months. Not to mention all the hard work the scanlation group puts into this. So stop the bitching, whining and complaining. You are not even paying for what sensei labours for, you are not supporting her in any way, you are reading it for FREE. I agree with you. There are many mangakas out there who release the chapters for their mangas monthly and with more pages than 20, for e.g. Akatsuki No Yona. We pay for the work of the mangaka. People are dissing other people's opinion here as if the mangaka's work is done for charity rather than the promotion of her own talent. We didn't ask her to draw this manga for us, if she is doing it then she CHOSE to do it. In my opinion, it's just fucking lazy to release so little pages in TWO months. God knows what the problem is but i believe that if a person starts something then they better dedicate there 100% to what they started otherwise they just don't appear serious about it. Many mangakas lose interest in their own stories and that just seems downright fickle. Hope that doesn't happen with this manga but it feels like the more the time passes the less interested the mangaka seems.
There, that's my opinion. If you're offended by it then that's your problem. Everybody should have freedom to state their opinion without the fear of being attacked by people who don't feel the same way.

Look, I respect your opinion. I don't know if you actually purchase this manga or not but if you're so dissatisfied by sensei's pace you can always "not" buy or read it. In fact if you like fast paced comics which update every week, you can always go to Lezhin, there are many good comics in there and if you ask on main page about how to get discounts and free coins I'm sure they'll help you. I'm not going to NOT buy/read it because once i like a manga, i stick with it until it ends or is dropped. But i'm definitely dissatisfied. People out there produce a lot more work then she does in lesser time than she does. I guess i'm just angry at the fact that i've seen people work their asses of to release 35-40 pages in 2 weeks and there is this person who can't even do more than 20 pages in TWO FUCKING MONTHS. I would understand if she was working on another project alongside this one and had to dedicate her time and effort to that too.

I don't know any mangaka who works for charity. the reasons for the output or lack therein are many. 1. this is not their only commitment. Bec. they don't work for charity, they may be drawing for others. 2 Some don't have a team of assistance to off load a lot of the hand work to.3 The pub. sced. and space may influence the number of pages a writer gets. Have you seen the magazine these are pub. in? It is large 4 Time and age this is very intense work and can wear on the hands and back and eyes to draw. Some of the work that Y.A does is masterful. She is very detailed,so much so that the drawings tell there own story. Example Asami's smirk, Takaba's eyes. You can tell the decades in this manga just by looking at their clothes. That takes time. 5 Story. the story pages fit the thoughts of the writer for that chapter,period. A good writer can make their point in 7 pages or 100. It is their story. Why I like Y.A. she gives you scenery. background and ref. points ex, penthouse out door scenes, cars. In other words she takes her time to put the reader into the story. All of which goes un noticed.These characters look brings the reader into the story. Now what does the artist owe the public? just my OP only what she/he puts out. They are not obligated to finish anything.

Oh boy, can't help it. This thread is dope. I completely understand the frustration that authors put out shorter chapters within longer intervals for long running series. But at the same time, I also understand and appreciate the author and a release of a chapter instead of it getting dropped. BUT MAN, here comes the "Anonymous" who rats out anyone who expresses their opinion, preaching about respect when he/she himself is sounding the opposite.
