Whoa what I thought this was done after I read it last time at around chapter 25 after the hospital and the confirmation that it's Nareu-ye. It honestly is kinda better thinking of it that way, because it wraps up nicely even if it's horrifying. The rest is kiiinda drawing it out confusingly, like I'm not sure where they're going with it now unless he's gonna find out and that would be sad and then annoying if he ends up being okay with it lol. But for now it's enjoyable to see Nareu-ye suffer lmao and to expand on the world a bit. But my canon will be that chapter 25 area until this starts making more sense maybe
I love how the comments are just us raging and confused, like, it was soooo bad. I wasn't sure if it would be just me, but it really rubbed me wrong for some reason. Her family sucks, there's no logic, do it to make her happy even though they know she doesn't want it? And then she just gives in "because she has to," which honestly feels like how they've raised her, so maybe valid on her part tbh, but doesn't mean I want to see such a bleak outlook. That's how this story felt, a bit hopeless. Not to mention the lack of consent on something permanent, that's so much pressure and kinda gross. I would have respected it more if he didn't do the deed at all and just tired her out then slowly proved himself till she accepted his weird manipulative mark. Oh, and we hate the excessive libido as a good reason for all his weird behavior thing. As I talk about it more, I see what bothered me I too kept reading hoping for something to change lmao, like her parents can't apologize at least? Lol

There's, like, two types of escape fake outs one where they're instantly caught and one where it's imminent. But the way this is framed actually gave me hope. I mean I'm positive they'll meet again (there'd be no story otherwise) but I have hope that he'll gain a stronger base and he won't be so easily nabbed next time.
