I'm just gonna ramble and maybe a smarter person will read this and think of better theories lol
-So first, the group of outsiders are obviously the players but I don't really know if Bada should count as one because logically he is a character in the game and shouldn't count as a player. (Does that make Bada an NPC? I'm not sure tbh I mean it is stated but that's what the other players believe he is, and they are unreliable in every sense of the way.)
-Another thing I find suspicious is that the NPCs want to apparently help the players (looks like they are programmed to do so) but they also attack Bada and the reason as to why still is a mystery
- I think the 'first offering' is a person and I don't know if it would be too on the nose for it to be bada? I feel like the first offering could mean so many things like: the first person 'the village' send to placate the killer, the first person to die in a playthrough, the killer itself maybe or the first person to be trapped in the game? I would say tho that the first offering is someone we already know
-"two must stand before the altar. One blind to the rite, and one who would dare to defy it" -> those two seem to be doha and bada but tbh I at first thought that the blind one would be Bada and the one to defy would be Doha BUT I'm not so sure anymore. Depending on the rite it could be switched around. Defying instructions and logic is totally a Doha trope I think and Bada even though he is so knowledgeable seem to be blind to a lot of thinks. On the other hand Bada as an "NPC" is defying a lot of things as well (like his role maybe) and Doha is blinded by his love/obsession maybe?
- then another question is: what is the goddamn curse now? A curse trope is a common horror trope true but getting rid of the Killer doesn't seem like the end goal here? MAYBE and that is probably a stretch, the killer attempted to complete the rite? (wouldn't it be crazy if the killer wasn't just an NPC lol and a player like in dead by daylight and the Killer has his own mission to play but that is me just spitting nonsense)
- It seems that the rite is already in process I think as the phrase "Only then shall the rite be made whole." implies (?)
- The whole things sounds a lot like a bloody weeding, with standing in front of an alter and it being a sacred act of forming an union. (even the blood must mingle as one part implies a union forming in a bloody way)
- Rereading my points: let's say the offering, altar and sacred rite have a parallel with a twisted way of marriage (like a bride being offered to the groom kind of thing) wouldn't that make a bit of sense? If it really is a game with a paranormale/religious backstory it would make sense that the offering maybe a person to placate the Killer? As in, we bring a bride for them every so and so years and the killer leaves the village alone.
I have a lot more thoughts on this but I think that is enough lol
It is a japanese manga with a boy that was warned not to go to a specific house because there was another Boy (idk if it was a God or not) that had to fight some dark stuff in the sea. It‘s a boyslove story and eventually the normal boy stays with the fighter. Oh and the fighter starts to get sick from the dark stuff
That‘s everything I remember Hope someone can help me find it
