On the first few chapters and I gotta say the ml is putting me off with how 2 faced he is like I get it he hates mc but the way he suddenly flips and turns into a blushing idiot around Daphne has me cringing
This whole read has been anger inducing it’s been a while since I’ve read one that has me pulling my hair out and crying tears of frustration and annoyance.
Why the hell would the ml just believe those stupid rumours some guy told him, instead of seeing for himself? He clearly had a good friendship with mc in the past, but he’s just up and ready to believe bs? Seems like projecting to me.
Mc also pisses me off, you’re not angry enough!!!! This guy blackmailed you, took advantage of you, treated you like shit all just because of some fake ass rumours that 1. Was started to bully you 2. Caused some serious trauma to you. Who in the right world would still want to be around a person like that
There is not even a semblance of a regret/chasing arc, which I guess makes sense given how short it is, but mc should have said a fuck you to ml and ml should have had time to let his decisions and stupidity simmer before chasing down mc. That would still be frustrating but at least it wouldn’t be a stupid ending.

First half was good, second half was just downright frustrating. Sol is wayyyy too forgiving for his own good, it’s bordering on pushover. He also was so damn passive for the entire story, just riding the waves and never really doing anything for the sake of the og plot. Not to mention doel, author should have just cut him out of the story completely with how much he was neglected. Couldn’t even stick to the script of him and karhan being the og couple because it literally only came up as a plot CONVENIENCE to introduce some conflict, instead of it being an actual plot POINT. And it wasn’t even focused on that much? Story would have been the same regardless of whether it included that or not because at some point Sol’s main survival issue wasn’t the og couple anymore but the arma blood like???
Asdion (?) got off way too easy, and the conflict between asdion and that blond arma was never explored?? Because of that everything felt very one - note kind of “I’m going to kill him because I’m obsessed with you and no one else can have you”, which just left me feeling like he’s an asshole with nothing forgivable about him, which made me think even less of sol actually forgiving him in the story for nothing. I’m not gonna say that the blond arma is any better either, because he literally treated sol like an object, but I can see that he’s way of thinking is due to having lived so long. The only characters I didn’t find myself pulling my hair out over was doel and karhan, the og couple, so maybe that was the real plan from the author after all. Haha.
I know it’s for plot purposes but every timeI come across this trope I always get so annoyed the mc tries to push the og novel couple when it’s so clear there’s nothing between them whatsoever. Like doel was gone for basically half the story so idk how sol got the idea that doel and the Karhan are a couple
Ofc I know he probably also has the motivation of wanting to go home but come on man… can’t you see how uncomfortable they are with the idea of them being a couple
