Alpha consciously behaved in a way that served his own interests.

And now I’m supposed to feel sorry because Omega hates Alpha — rightfully — while Alpha has loved Omega since childhood? “Alpha was only acting according to what he thought was best.”

I understand that this is a sad love story. Alpha has only ever had love for Omega. The only way he could remain close to the person he loved was to be objectified, and used and used again.
