i feel a little crazy to ask this but why cant they all live by rules? guwons be the one to be incharge there isn’t all bad. he did not kill you if you didn’t do some shit. except for that one time when i think if guwon ends up dead or gone, they will all be more messy than it is.
except for that one time when* the guy got caught stealing for the sick kid. they’re practicing equality. so no matter what reason there is, you cant have extra or more than other people. which is i understand why they wanted him dead at that time. i think if guwon ends up dead or gone, they will all be more messy than it is
"Equality" as yoy say here means being shot to death bbecuase you wanted to try amd save your child. Its dehumanising, and treating people like cattle with such rigid rules. Not a good life lol, no dignity. There should always be- atleast to some extent, some feelings involved in the process of decision making. Otherwise its just guwon playing dictator. Either guwon becomes a better leader, or a better leader steps forth. A leader who cant serve ths people adquently is not fit to be a leader. He is just a guy with some brute force power and 0 empathy, less than human more like some animal
i get what you’re saying, but i don’t think it’s as simple as “guwon is a dictator.” this is an apocalypse, not normal society. he’s making decisions based on survival first because resources are limited. does he lack empathy? absolutely. but that’s also why i suspect he isn’t human in the first place. expecting him to naturally understand human emotions is like expecting a machine to feel guilt.
i also don’t think killing him solves the problem. if anything, it creates a power vacuum. the group survives because someone is capable enough to lead them. once he’s gone, who’s making the hard decisions? they’ll probably end up fighting over leadership and resources, and that could cost even more lives.
instead of replacing him, i think the better solution would’ve been for the mc to become his moral compass. guwon handles survival, while the mc helps him understand the human side of those decisions. that seems like a much more realistic way to improve his leadership than just getting rid of the person who’s been keeping everyone alive.

ill just say this one piece: get ray out of the picture.
