Yall I just reread it and I noticed that from the story that Tei tells to Shuraka to get him to go to sleep, the god he mentions that is seen and arrogant for always winning his battles and loving war and ends up being cast into the underworld for this, is also wearing the red skull mask that tei wears in the tournament but in the story the god wife seeks him out and brings him home and she is who they pray to in tei’s home land but in the tournament, tei is wearing the gods mask and keeps saying that he is only doing all of this for the glory of his home land and to find a way that he can “win”. Lowkey I think tei is going to fall for shuraka without realizing that’s that’s what’s happening and just keep thinking it’s for the glory of his nation and it’ll end up bringing the “destruction” that he keeps mentioning in previous chapters to their relationship ╥﹏╥
I was reading and enjoying it so much then after the most recent chapter I saw the authors other work and… Fuck me I know what’s going to happen and I know Ima I hate it (● ̄(エ) ̄●)
I have read it, I read all their other works and it’s all the same dynamic *spoiler* it starts off nice and interesting getting us to love the characters and the way they interact then just like in R&C they start acting crazy and things get super toxic and the author tries to gloss it over. Don’t get me wrong I will still read this but I was just saying how I now know what it’s going to be like and it’ll kinda ruin the read ┑( ̄Д ̄)┍
No, in this case... Spoiler.....................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................Chase is bad and crazy at the start, and you'll find out that there really is a reason why he is like this, not some unbelievebale stuff.
In this one there is no rape, no sleeping aorund with others and Josh is more in controle of the relationship than Chase. In the side stories there there was nothing toxic so far, and if the author add more there most liekly won't be, because it won't fit their characters. I didn't read R&C, but KML and was surprised that the pairing of KMIYC was really like that. The author made a very strong omega with Josh ( who litereally protects and saves Chase from dangerous situations), and the Chase actually goes along with everything, which is really rare for omegaverse. The ml in this story is most likely the greenest when it comes to realtionship with the mc she ever wrote, despite all the violence at the beginning.
*spoilers for R&C*

I do agree that so far Chase is the most openly crazy character that the author has shown so far but i know you said you didn’t read R&C and that since that is one of the authors most recent almost complete works that’s what I was basing most is my assumptions on because Chase and Ceaser are the same they seem like they could be “green flags” but they contradict themselves when you see how they act when their lover isn’t around and then when their relationship gets rocky they show just how toxic they really are to get their partner to never be able to leave and in R&C the mc was also made out to be strong and seemingly independent but he eventually falls victim to the power and connections that his partner has so I just don’t see how this senecio can be different. That’s all I want people to understand.

Also i don’t remember what book it was but i read this book in one of my English classes and i remember it mentioning something about how the story used the mention of how the two characters spent time under a pear blossom tree it symbolizing passion and them “sleeping together” essentially and I can’t stop thinking about it because i hear it a lot in this story but I don’t think the original book I read it in had a happy ending (● ̄(エ) ̄●)
