Bro xian didn’t do nothing he was worried about his friends fighting and didn’t know they were holding a deathly secret! Calling it selfish is too much! Wym can’t read the room? They were pretending that they were fighting so Xian was hoping it wasn’t anything serious!

He tried but they would blow him off and go somewhere together while they were pretending to fight! Then he followed them with worry and what he got in return is them trying to kill him! I feel bad for Xian tbh bc he was just trying to be a good friend but clearly they didn’t care about him the same way

Giiirl this is literally something between the two if them ! He is Meddling too much , he should have asked them directly and if they refused to talk he must respect Thier decision,that the least he can do , cuz most of the time ppl are just being noisy and they disguise it as being worried

Nah you try to kill your so called “friend” over being worried? Hell nah then they shouldn’t have been friends with him in the first place if they are going to treat him like he is basically a stranger! That makes no sense! They shouldn’t have made such an elaborate lie like they are fighting without expecting that he was going to react or even care! That’s literally the basics of friendship to care about other! If they didn’t want Xian to care then they should have distanced themselves and made it clear that they have no interest in being friends!

They made it Xians business the moment they came up to him with an elaborate lie that they are fighting! Nobody asked them to do that! If you are going to try to kill your “friend” because they are showing care or worry then you never saw them as a friend in the first place!

They both have big secrets that can cause alot of trouble if they were revealed. He may have thought they were fighting at first but he would've know right away they weren't actually fighting since he was eavesdropping/ following them. Then when he gets caught he tries to fein ignorance

And again Xian didn’t know what secrets they had because he was under the impression his friends were fighting! It’s easy for us to say because the story is written in the perspective of mc and we know what secrets he has but Xian had no clue! They are still kids in school! Xian intentions were innocent concern as a friend, especially when all of them have worked together in the past to survive against death, Xian would think their friendship means something. But what he got in the end is his “friends” trying to KILL him! He did not deserve that! Like I said that isn’t how you treat a friend! If they didn’t want to be friends with Xian, they should have made that clear from the get go instead of creating this elaborate fighting scenario!

It was a threat to get him to talk. And they only made the threat because when he was caught he wouldnt say why he was following them. That just makes him look suspicious. I get his sentiments but he went about it all wrong.

It wasn’t just a threat they were genuinely thinking of killing him! And ofc he would be scared to talk when he is sensing REAL killing intent from people he thought were his friends! Yeah maybe it could have been annoying at MOST that your “friend” cared too much and found out your secret spot or whatever, but their Reaction was equally fucked up! That is how you react to a stranger or someone who I tends to harm you not your Friend! The author should have made it that Xian never talked to them again after that tbh! Nobody told them to lie or be Xian’s friend!

Helmut and Alea are hiding huge secrets (seed of darkness, Alea being a girl, owning a dungeon) that would cause alot of trouble if revealed. Xian followed them, eavesdropped on them (and after hearing their conversation he would've known they weren't fighting but he continued to follow them into the dungeon), and tried to fein ignorance when he was caught. There are people that want Helmut dead so its not a far fetched idea that someone could be acting nice just to get close. And you have to remember Helmut hasn't been at the school for that long so even if he makes friends he still has that kill or be killed mindset. All im saying is Xian shouldn't have followed them and I understand their reaction. This is my last reply so you can argue again if you really need the last word but im done.

And all I’m saying their reaction was too much for someone who is your friend! I would understand their reaction if they didn’t make a lie that puts Xian in a position to care about their wellbeing!
