Probably the latter cause the story portrays the characters as aloof to the idea of romance with their friends bc their friendship comes first. Inseo was doing the same exact thing in the main story
as an asexual/demisexual this is probably the most uncomfortable I’ve ever been reading any manga ever, but some moments were kinda cute? not much to like about this one
