Dating/cheating

So basically, two weeks ago my ex-gf wanted to break up with me but she wasn´t able to tell me that so I had to end it myself. She said that she wouldn´t have time for anything else except for studying this year, which seemed like an excuse but I just let that be because I was really emotionaly exhausted. Today, I found out that she started dating a guy that was her friend that she spent a lot of time with, when we were dating. It always seemed a little suspicious to me (she was always talking about him even when she was with me) but when I asked her about him she was always saying things like: he is just a friend, I would never date him, ew,etc.
What do you think? Do you think they had feelings towards each other even when I was dating her?

    Hmmm.. I'd say it's definitely suspicious, especially if she said she wouldn't have time for dating because of school, but right after she's with someone else. I think it's okay to break up with someone if it's not working anymore of hell, if you realize have feelings for someone else, but I think she owed you honesty, at least. It's possible to talk it out in a mature way imo instead of just giving obviously fake excuses. I'm sorry that happened to you :(

    It’s better to talk maturely to her, and ask for an explanation without getting up in her face. You should just move on. Yes, it’s suspicious, but getting through your school year is more important that spoiled milk. She decided to date him, it’s was her choice either way. Whatever; just vibe girl! We don’t need stress in our lives, right?

    Yeah, I am just really angry/sad/bitter that she didn't tell me that she liked him and that was the reason that she wanted to break up. Now I am finding out all of this through other people that don't even know her that much :/ thanks, it will get better :)

    Soo true! But I would still like an explanation because I really liked her :/ and it did hurt to find all of this later on. She was never really good with talking about her problems and she never really openly discussed anything with me, including the problems in our relationship. School year is more important though and I am trying to move on :)

    Actually in my country, "focus on studying" as reason of breaking up is often equal to "I've met someone else".. That's why after I read that part, I know ur story would ended up like that.

    Hmm I say.. if u simply want to clear up ur feeling, it's okay to ask her slowly and nicely, but if she refuse to answer or start victim-blaming (like cornering you for being too suspicious), than it's better to step back and understand she was always a girl like that.
    And if u actually do move on and don't really care anymore, it's better to leave it alone. Because I'm afraid she will say something hurtful to you if you ask her bluntly, like I said victim-blaming can be cruel.
    I'm sorry it happened to you. Things will get better!
