something about this feels iffy. i dont really like how they made the women suffer alot (i understand the era back then and sexism) but then they get jealous of Dorthy because mc is her man. making him better in comparison. idk a bad taste in my mouth. just hope we go into more depth and character development for those women
I don't like that women are suffering so much either but it's realistic imo. I'm pretty sure women are treated MUCH worse back then. But I do understand why they're jealous of dorothy, but as long as they don't act hostile towards her it's wtv to me. I think the fact that they have to act tough and being jealous towards dorothy already shows plenty. They're forced to be people they aren't so they don't get taken advantage of, but even with their best efforts they're still struggling. I hope that further down the story women start standing on equal grounds with men and since mc is a man with a progressive mindset I think it could be possible since he's the hero or wtv
i mean it happens to this day as well. Jealousy when someone who is similar to you and has it better is extremely normal. It's also pretty normal for people (both men and women) to want to "steal" the partner of that person cuz they think it'll bring them happiness. I hope that doesn't happen
Personally I felt like it was realistic how they were treated and felt they needed to portray themselves as more aggressive to men. What I didn't like was how that one girls reaction to his wife was to feel "jealous" idk if the author is a man or woman but I feel like it's a male mentality that everytime we see a woman in a better situation than us that we feel envy or jealousy which is sometimes true but I would've replaced this scene with her looking down on her or getting irritated bc she has it easier not having the same worries as them.
Bruh you never search history before? of how woman have to fight their way just to have the chance to vote, or how woman in some countries way before aren't allowed to go outside without a man, how woman has to disguise as a man when she has to go outside at night. 1 out of 100 woman might be a body builder/fighter or has the strength to over power man, but 99 of woman aren't
I think they mean that making the women suffer AND jealous of fl is like, uplifting the mc at the cost of them being treated terribly. But yes I actually agree that the suffering of women aren't portrayed ENOUGH. I also disagree on the fact that there is a need for a want to see the women go through a character development???? like they're treated as shit are they supposed to become buddhists and not feel suffering or smth? rather than character development I hope they become stronger and gain confidence. from what i remember, jade is a little "forgiven" (but would not interact with him). she definitely does not forgive the other brother or the dad, she treats the other brother like he's totally nonexistent the same way he treated her and the dad tried to make amends by fighting the royal family in court for her or something like that but she still does not forgive him
she only forgives the sister. the brothers and her father would never be forgiven

couldn't finish like the whole story: mc is abused, ml finds that out blackmails him and rapes him. mc finds out ml was abused then starts falling inlove with him. sex and fall inlove. (the story is basically its okay that ml raped mc because he was a abused kid too) just die
(my opinion) what a load of bullshit. so mc confessed to his friend who was freaked out. rejects him, to make matters worse starts a rumour that shatters mc's middle school life (shitty move) and influence his personality. time skip, mc moves to a new school where we are introduced to ml who is a school WHORE and sleeps around. finds out mc is gay and decided to sa rape him, blackmail (maybe coercion too) as a way to experiment with gay sex (what the fuck? doing all this shit to fuck mc cause why not?!) takes him to movies (i don't understand mc falling in love with ml who robbed with more than his dignity) anyways ml thinks "he finally smiled" like what did u expect? a RAPE VICTIM to totally a-okay u just raped him? and then we meet up with his ex friend and other students from middle school. reminding mc about what happened to him and runs away. ex friend who confronts ml, state the fact how hes a whore and playing with mc like straight facts. and telling us his side of what happen obviously doesn't justify his action but we can see how he feels bad for what he did (LOOK HERE EVERYONE THE ONLY CHARACTER THAT REFLECTED FOR WHAT THEY DID AND DECIDED TO LIVE WITH IT AS THE CONSEQUENCE OF HIS OWN ACTIONS) that was the only surprising good thing in this manga. And the ml. he has the AUDACITY to state that spreading a rumour and kinda ruining mc's middle school life (very bad) is WORSE?! compared to RAPING, SA, BLACKMAIL, AND ETC... (worse and also a crime wtf?) i dont think i have read a manga that has a ml deludes himself into believing the shit he did is something minor then other bad stuff. and then yada yada, ml falls in-love with mc chases to get him at school and the only thing we get. the only acknowledgement for what he did said "for all the I've up until now, im truly sorry" (mind you, the non-consensual relationship was still happening a few days ago until now. ) they get in a relationship, happily ever after after. FUCKING EWUGH-YUCK. anyway that was all, reminder this was my Opinion, ty for reading.
