Am I the only one who finds the complexity of their characters kind of refreshing? The non cons r absolutely horrendous, but smth abt this story is so beautiful w the way the characters r not only drawn but portrayed. I feel like nowadays BLs r so one dimensional w minimal plot (usually js being the relationship itself, not that I have anything against those BLs) and the same characters and dynamics over and over and over again. There are some gaps in the writing w this story, but I feel like this story is js so different than a lot of the ones that r out right now. It’s interesting how you can analyze the characters and their actions in ways you can’t rlly do that for any other ones. I do NOT support the SA in this story, but it’s interesting to see smth so different in terms of plot and js the chars in general.
Fair enough but I feel like there is some yaoi with complex plot that are less rapey.
NPC can save the world too is a good one.
Ennead has lots of SA but not between the main couple (besides that one scene).
If you dont care for sex scenes theres about a thousand stories like that on webtoon (Heir's Game being one of my fav)
Guys who the hell is that old man I genuinely only remember his first appearance and why was he talking abt his kid and wife
Yes exactly at season 1, at the start of the story.
That’s why he’s been keeping an eye on them, and also warned non of being too close to shin, and that’s why he’s knew the relationship or closeness they both had, and wanted to hurt shin by hurting his most precious person.
Just like shin played him and his son.
This is my third reread of this one haha… Do you guys remember when we took a flashback to Ash’s past and his mom explained that the painting Sir Gordon had made was the moment Ash’s mom fell in love with Ash’s dad? In the end there are so many paintings of Lyle in almost the exact style WHICH MEANS THAT ASH HAS FALLEN IN LOVE WITH LYLE OVER AND OVER AND OCER AGAIN WITH ALMOST EVERY MOMENT THEY SPEND TOGETHER (idk if it was obvious and if it was its only cos im rlly slow)
Lowk everyone is like talking about the rush in progression and how we’re at the point where there’s no way JK can actually like Dan for his personality but I kinda like the pacing. We’ve seen signs from the last couple of chapters that In The end he at least feels a smidge of affection or care for Dan (that isn’t just lust or motivated by it EVEN THOUGH HES STILL BEING A COMPLETE DIPSHIT W TAKING ADVANTAGE OF HIM 24/7 365 LIKE GUYS I HATE HIM AS MUCH AS THE NEXT PERSON.) I’m very aware of the actions that he’s done, but I think this chapter is both our signal as much as it is his and Dan’s that something is going to change in the story (revelation or wtv.) I also think that whatever his Jinx is is why he’s such a whinny little bitch (not justifying it) and why it’s taken him so long to get to this scene specifically where he shows at least some sort of vulnerability to both us and Dan (AGAIN NOT JUSTIFYING IT JUST DISSECTING.) a lot of people seem frustrated that after such a long time of Dan being treated like shit it’s going to be shitty if it did a complete 360 in 5 chapters (which I completely agree) but I don’t think Mingwa would do that to us. I think that this chapter was just a turning point for us as much as them, and the ‘rush’ people feel of this chapter is the same amount of ‘rush’ that JK feels.
I still need a 20 chapter chasing and groveling and crying and sobbing and hurt arc from JK. Dan better not say ‘it’s fine’ easily istg.
My distaste comes from not only because Jaekyung doesn't really seem like he likes Dan's company, but because Dan has less and less good qualities. Like, even if Jaekyung gets better, Dan in himself is so toxic that I would want Jaekyung to find better. Of course, I believe in helping bring someone up when they're down, but when it starts to weigh on you, you have to pull the plug.
Dan doesn't want help, refuses to try for himself, and continues to make it everyone's problem. Being in front of someone who keeps trying and trying to kill themselves despite all the trouble you went through is unbearable. It feels awful. They really need to go their separate ways. I know it's fiction, but if this were reality, they really would just be making themselves worse. I wish I could belive that they would help each other through everything, but I really feel little to zero compatability. Just simple fun, or simple conversation between them would be nice. There's none of it, and it's disheartening.

This feels rushed af. I feel like there wasn’t enough time for development and Kim Dan getting hurt was just a quick and easy way to call it a day and magically present “oh look it’s love
I think that was the plan from the start I měna what can you expect from a story full of clichés
