I'm only by chapter 25 but it REALLY bothers me that the duke tortured and killed a bunch of servants and brushed it off with a single line about regretting it. He didn't try to make it up to the families, he didn't punish himself in any way, he didn't even expect the mc to look at him differently - just continued with the sex scene. Is it really that easy to be forgiven for being an abusive leader and a mass murderer? Just saying you won't do it again?
