Why are people playing moral police over a fictional story? If it bothers you that much, then just stop reading it. No one is forcing you to engage with it.
People are so obsessed with the whole “green flag” concept that they forget characters are allowed to have flaws and have questionable morals.
learn to separate fiction from reality. These characters are written to be characters, not role models.
